Jesus the price for Cap VIII is simply insane for indies.
I think if I want to be an indie Zoner the best I can afford would be Cap VI (insert 100 hours of powertrading here) for the Fearless then and I don't think I'd be important enough in a player faction to receive this amount of credits for a better Cap Armour. Cap IV for Kusari Explorer, maybe Cap V.

All but maybe four of my fighters and bombers have a Uni 8.
My carrier mounts no armor whatsoever.
My Lib GB mounts a cap6.
My OC GS carries a Uni 8.
My Nom GB carries cap4.
