Really, I could see this as a way to balance the Outcast/Corsair war. A new faction angry at the Alliance would look to seek alliances of factions also at war with all the other houses, and the Corsairs are really outnumbered right now. Of course, being the original inhabitants of the Hispania, I could see how the French would also spite the Corsairs and Outcasts...

Ah... In terms of allies, yes, in terms of pilots, no. Check the rumours, and you'll find that the Corsairs have more than twice the number of pilots than the Outcasts.

Correction: Everybody lost to the Romans exactly once. Then they were either assimilated or eradicated. So it still holds. :laugh:
Very well. <strike>Byzantium/Constantinople/Istanbul and the surrounding environs were conquered twice by Italians.</strike> Once by the Romans, and once by the Venetians. Same with Cyprus and Crete.
