Elena, You'll find that the new power-cores you never ordered have arrived today. Please remember, I don't always check your logs, purely because I don't understand 90% of the techno-babble you sprout. Either way. Seraph.1 has seen extensive stress testing out in the field recently, and I'm getting way more energy bleed than I should be. The normal techs think its my imagination, but I swear I'm losing about 15% core to bleed while flying. I've already arranged for it to be shipped to you. The sooner we get all these kinks worked out the better. We're gonna need the whole wing in action soon enough from the look of things. Also, you'll notice that alongside our latest shipment of Combat Droids, we got some maintenance droids. See if you can make better use of them than just security will you?

The Forlorn Hope
It has been a long time since the last log, I'm well aware of that, which is mostly due to the fact that I have been incredibly busy dealing with different business and hadn't been able to visit Haven as regularly as I'd wish, especially since it had been moored at Taba for the time being. Now, with the completion of its main and most urgent repairs and its retransferring to the docks of Glendalough Orbital, I had the pleasure of seeing the Seraphim in its own hangar again, pretty much untouched since the last time I've been working on them the last time. From now on, I'll be working more towards finally finishing the issues related to these ships.
The means for it we should definitely have. And now that I got the time - and the appropriate help in form of the repair droids -, the problems will finish in no-time.
Said droids are currently working on implementing the new core units Knight Captain Stenn has already ordered some time ago. It's definitely become a lot easier with these A.I. colleagues to help me, they are far better capable of making their way into the inner workings of the Nyx Fighters than humans like me could ever. For instance, I am not forced anymore to remove the majority of its hull to reach the units I'm interested in, a small hole for the droids to enter is absolutely sufficient by now. I will report as soon as the core units have been implemented, then we will see how the fighters can handle them. Judging from tests I have already examined with the new ones, we will probably even have to decrease their power output a little, I'm in doubt the Nyxes in their current state could handle the amount of energy they will unevitably produce. On the other hand, maybe we can use the surplus amount and divert them to the weapons systems, which would enable us to mount more energy-consuming weaponry than the standard Crayterian one.
Talking about the weapons they delivered with the Fighters, they are not in such bad conditions than the Nyxes, however could also use a retrofit with up-to-date energy-converting technology, the way they create and accelerate the energy particles at first glance seems to be pretty unefficient and something I could also try to improve soon in the future.
That's it. I'll be back with another log soon.

Elena, I'm glad to see work on the Seraphim is progressing smoothly, however, I didn't come down here to help out. I came looking for you to tell you that we might be having guests on-board soon to help out with the work. I'll keep you updated.

The Forlorn Hope
With pleasure I am to announce that the first new power core units have just been successfully implemented into the first three Seraph fighters. Some adjusting had to be done between the old, outdated systems of the craft and the high-technological products we've purchased, coming directly from Libertonian science labs - of course there had to be a few complications, just like when two cultures collide.
First of all, the way Crayterian and Libertonian power cores store their energy seems to be slightly different. While Crayterian models store it with the help of plate capacitators, Libertonian crafts got a set of charged batteries as a power core. As a conclusion, that means that Libertonian ones are capable of delivering more energy with a far higher voltage, which would and in fact did overload the energy system of Seraph One (I'm sorry, Nick, it happened to be yours).
Over the course of the last days, I've been fixing this issue manually with the help of a few droids, implementing an additional transformator to get rid of the problem. This again took a while, but in the end it seemed to work - to a certain degree. There were still surplus energy readings indicating that the power core could still overstrain the other modules of the Nyxes, however to a less worrysome degree. Additionally, I planned a small amount of surplus in advance anyways, for the time being I've diverted it to an outside system, but my future plans are to use it to optimize the power output of engines and weapons as well. They will however need a tweaking as well, which can theoretically take quite some time, before I could dare to connect them to the new power core.
If it is going to work out the way I hope, though, the Nyxes could turn out to be even more efficient than originally designed by the Crayterians.
