PLACE OF BIRTH: Planet Los Angeles

NAME: Christopher Hughes

BIOGRAPHY: Born on Planet Los Angeles, I was child to a seemingly normal family of business entrepreneurs; initially having my father's family name, Gant. It was at the age of 20, in times of great hardship, when I truly began seeing the world not through my parents' eyes; as my father was being investigated by the Liberty Police, and my family's assets being frozen. At that time a chain of events started that led to myself being arrested, and used by the police to incarcerate my parents, who were allegedly implicated in deals with the notorious pirate group called The Lane Hackers. After a long period of personal trials and sorrow, I was finally able to come to terms with the situation ー my father is a criminal, a known Lane Hacker accomplice, and my mother a collateral victim who ended up killing herself rather than suffer the shame of false imprisonment. It was at that time that I took my mother's maiden name, Hughes, and decided to join the Liberty Police in order to stop tragedies like this one from happening to anyone else. The academy was not what I had anticipated, though, and life as a police officer often included more reports of obstrucion of traffic, and very regular 'irregular' Trade Lane disruptions, than anything else. Often I was instructed to 'look away', by my superiors, leading me to desire more power, and start distrusting the justice system. It was when I saw a recruitment board urging valiant, talented pilots within Liberty corporations to join the LSF, a peace keeping organization whose reach extends well beyond that of of the Police, when I knew it was time for me to leave the force, in search for a higher purpose, and hopefully a better understanding of the events occuring in Liberty.

QUALITIES: Alertness, cautiousness, flexibility, resourcefulness, thoroughness, sense of justice.

ADITIONAL INFORMATION: My time with the police force was a waste, more often than not patrolling what seemed like unused trade lane routes, and empty space, causing my flying skills to be somewhat covered in dust... however I believe I am more than capable of quickly overcoming this obstacle using my ability to quickly analyze a situation and respond swiftly, and accordingly. I believe I can be of good use to the LSF.

How long have you been playing: About a week and a half, though I created my account a few months ago, and I played vanilla Freelancer quite a few times over the course of the years. (All in all, new player.)
