Nicole slowly woke up, sniffing the air. Mmm.... wait.. is that.. Allen singing..?" She carefully got up off the couch, being careful not to disturb the childs slumber, then sneaked over to the door way, taking a peek into the kitchen.
What she would see would be a rare sight. Allen was at the stove in his PJs dealing with a pan of what looked like eggs. He was also leaning back and looking up to ceiling, singing hushed down, but still fairly audibly.
"Hey.. keep your sickness off me.. Tryin' ta get through... Blame... all your weakness on me.. Shame.. that I'm so contrite..."
She sneaked around the kitchen, then behind him, being sure to avoid his gaze. She then wrapped her arms around his waist, embracing him slightly. "Didn't know you could sing, handsome." She then held him close, her still-waking embrace being slightly but enough to gently pull him back.
"Hey.. keep your fingers off me.. Why can't I get th-- woa.. H-hey, you..." He turned his gaze instantly from the ceiling towards her, a little offput that she'd caught him singing. "Er.. heard that.. did you?"
He pulled the pan off the burner, setting it down on an inactive one. There seemed to be a few other pans on it as well, and three plates in waiting on the counter to their right.
"Mmm don't like when the roles are reversed?" She giggled, leaning against the counter. "You're not the only one. While I may know little Kusarian, I do enjoy singing some of the music I hear from home."
"Don't usually listen to music in my off time.. mainly because I have little time to do it in my off time.."
He turned off the burner, turning towards her. "Always seem to get that song stuck in my head, though.."
"Well if you hear gibberish that sounds like Kusarian, it's me singing in the shower, or mumbling a bit loudly." She relaxing, looking around for a coffee maker. "Mmm... I need coffee...." She got a little wobbly, leaning on Allen to keep herself up right, one arm hugging him, the other on a counter.
The moment she'd find the coffee maker, it would already have some made in it. "Don't worry, hon.. I got you covered.."
He reached up to a cupboard, pulling out a mug and setting it on the counter.
"Always a step ahead huh?" She poured herself some coffee and continued to lean on the counter. "Smells delicious, can't wait to eat it. Lindsay still fast asleep on the couch." Nicole straightened out her hair with her free hand. She looked a mess, but being away from everything, she didn't mind, only looking up to his eyes, smiling.
"Eh.. she'll wake up the moment I bring her plate out there.. Maybe before I reach the couch.."
He began to make their plates, placing one of the pans out on the counter infront of her, which seemed to be loaded down with bacon stacked a foot tall. "You game?" He gave her a wink, taking a fairly hearty portion for himself and continuing make the rest of the plates.
