Bonjour, CEO of le Gallic Metal Service,

today at 11:53 heure Gallic Standard Time, my crew and I on the RNS La Chanteuse encountered a Kishiro transport that was carrying seven Jump Hole Generator parts, claiming that the GMS has sent him/her to deliver them to you. First off, I want to know what in the Roi's name made you think that importing such cargo over our borders without giving la Marine a notice would be a good idea, those items are able to create anomalies that bring fleets into any system, are you aware of the risk you have gotten into here? What if the ship was robbed or destroyed? The Tau's are a war zone with the uprising of Imperial activity and you have risked an attack that might have cost us many lives. The items are confiscated and we see no reason to give them out to you, more likely is, that we will use it for our own efforts to make this war a bit shorter, this action and all following ones will be justified by law 1.1 et 1.2, I quote:

I am afraid I was not aware of this taking place. It is impossible for me to know what is happening at any instance within the Company.

I have spoken to our R&D Department, at Treyarch Research Facility in IDF, and they have informed they had indeed acquired a Kusarian Ship to obtain some of these items, so that they may be able to improve Jump Technology. I assure you this is way above my knowledge, but they assure me that they may be able to improve Gallic capabilities within this field.

You must know that these Scientists are difficult to control when they get some of their 'harebrained schemes'.

They have informed me that they were not aware, under the Gallic Law, that these items were deemed illegal. Even our Legal Department, who the R&D Department had consulted beforehand, had found no information on these items. With this being the case, the R&D Department thought that obtaining Sirian Technology would be useful, if it could be used to further Gallia's knowledge and capabilities.

Please accept my apologies for this misunderstanding of the Laws. I will have our Legal Department revise their understanding of it.

Maréchal Landreau speaking. I am willing to cooperate with your corporation, Monsieur St.Denis. First of all I would love to receive a detailed explanation why corporation, namely Gallic Metal Services, wants to research these parts made in the Republic of Kusari. As far as I know EFL Oil et Machinery is responsible for research, development and maintaince of hyperspace technology including Gates and Trade Lanes.

Scientists can be quite annoying, however it's your responsibility to keep an eye on their projects. Jump Hole Generator parts haven't been listed in Gallic laws yet but for sure you can see the danger these parts would posses in the wrong hands. However I am more than willing to return them back to you if you agree with terms I will provide you with, as soon as you confirm you still want these parts in your hands.

Until then we will keep them for safety reasons.

I am sorry it has taken so long to respond to your last Transmission. I have been away visiting all our installations and have just recently returned to the Office.

You are quite correct in that EFL usually deal with Jump Gate and Trade Lane Technology, but we deal with metals. EFL and GMS are always working closely, together, when it comes to Projects involving the stresses and capabilities of metals. Hence why this is being done on Treyarch Research Facility.

At the minute the Scientists will carry on with their investigations, but they assure me that that they would like to obtain these items. It would be useful if you could inform us whether we can, in the future, obtain more or we should look at other avenues of investigation.

I hope you will get back to me soon, so that I can inform them of the next step.

Pardon me, but I thought Gallic Metal Services is focused on mining and transportation of Metals in Kingdom of Gallia. As far as I am aware, you should be researching new materials and its characteristics.

However I am able to provide you with approval if you are in need of more parts. But first you will have to sign the terms attached below.

5. MRG| is allowed to change these terms. However GMS must be contacted.

It's NOT the final form. These terms will be further discussed with Grand Maréchal Macron and GMS Leaders.

I have read and discussed this with our Legal Department. They have brought up a couple of things:

We have no problem with this, but as I mentioned, it is a joint GMS/EFL Project. Both of Corporation Scientists are involved.

We, I can assure you, have no intention of just 'losing' these items. But, to put your mind at rest, we will put in to Bonds, 1.75 Billion Credits, for the remote possibility.

Creating Anomalies? I am assured many months/years of investigation will probably be needed. I am sure if EFL want to 'test out' anything they will be gladly seeking out the Crown's permission and will undoubtedly be expecting the Crown's Representative's present at this 'Testing'.

What, if any, does the Ministère de la Science et de la Technologie, have in this agreement? The reason I ask, is that the Research Facility falls under their prerogative.

This draft and its conditions were made between Marine Royale Gauloise and Gallic Metal Services only. I do not see any reason why we should involve another corporation here. If EFL Oil et Machinery is interested then it should express its interested about the matter. I am more than willing to make yet another draf for EFL. However I haven't received any message yet so I advise you, do NOT speak for the crown corporation such as EFL.

I am glad you take danger seriously and I hereby accept your offer of 1.75 Billion gf if any parts are lost. It should be enough to mobilize fleets in case of established anomaly. And here we initiated talks about anomalies. I am just making sure you understand that NO anomalies will be created without the government's, MRG's and the Roi's permission. In this case the kingdom would be in direct danger and Martial Law would be enforced. The kingdom cannot afford it and the loss caused by a simple mistake would be way too serious for Gallic people.

MRG reserves the right to change conditions in case of goverment making these Generators illegal. Then MRG will declare this agreement void and demand these generators again. If they wouldn't be delivered then Gallic Metal Services will be sanctioned by Government and payment of 1.75 Billion gf. to Marine Royale Gauloise will be demanded.
