That is right, but he ACTIVATED cruise AND DOCKED to another system, then went to Crete, REPAIRED and
taken bats and bots, and then returned to JH and ENGEAGED me after i exited it. That way their whole fleet
could'v done that. And not to mess numbers it was:

Cors: 2 Dreads, 2 Osiris, 2 cruisers, 2 GBs, 2 bombers and 3 fighters
BHG: 2 BBs, 1 BHG BC and 1 Lib BC

And I was the only one that was left standing after the fight, so you can imagine how mad i am at Mule and
his "breave" tactics, after he engeaged me in full equiped dread while i had 30% hull and maybe 40%
shield. And if i defended myself i could'v even destroyed him, but he didn't attack while i was standing
towards him, nooo, he attacked when i turned my back and started cruising.

I mean if that is allowed, cool, i can just escape every time im near death, wait a guy at another systems
10 mins later, once i am repaired, and as soon as he undocks i can just blast him.

And i just remmembered an example. 2 fleets were fighing in O-80, RoS and Cors(TBH, Benitez). Now,
every time one RoS would get too damaged to stay in fight, he would just go to Alpha, repair and
rearm, and then wait at O-80 JH for any Cors that survived.

Actually I do believe that the first post is right.. it is allowed in the rules.. since you followed.

I was screaming about this when the rules were being changed as well as other RM people. Because it basically means that:

I fight a pirate in Hamburg.. he flees after loosing all bats and bots.. and goes to pirate in Frankfurt...I fight him there he flees... and goes to Dresden.... and so on...

Specially from an RP standpoint, I mean, how long would it take to repair any ship, let alone a crippled capital ship? I'm quite positive it's not sanction material, though.

I'm under the impression that this was a specific situation that wasn't pondered over when the rule was revised back then, maybe it's a case study to add for future reference should the PvP rules be revised again in the near future.

Well, I know I'd be pissed as well. Mjolnir is right, there was a big debate over that one. Unfortunately, as this version of the rules go, this seems to be allowed. It's something I'd frown upon. Specially from an RP standpoint, I mean, how long would it take to repair any ship, let alone a crippled capital ship? I'm quite positive it's not sanction material, though.

I'm under the impression that this was a specific situation that wasn't pondered over when the rule was revised back then, maybe it's a case study to add for future reference should the PvP rules be revised again in the near future.

Its a game. It has its rules, this one is bit frowned upon but people use it. Same like shield run or shield evade what I frown upon too.
I'm not completely on Mule's side here, but a question rises..
what were you going to do in delta, and why were you all in Benitez system anyway? Elaborate.

Oh and, i thought we weren't for trial by forum, so even if everyone figures who's the talk about keep the names private for those Captain obvvious ones out there.
I think that main answer here is "there's no rule against it"
Same like when a BH cruiser goes after my pirate transport.. Talk about millions down the drain.

Well, I'd say that I was considering and discussing this from a hypothetical standpoint even after Tic bluntly stated that this was about one specific event.

From the time when we last discussed that rule I was of the opinion that to stick to the general idea of the rule a fleeing player would have to be considered dead for effects of the other rules. Unfortunately that's not so and, as Ivan has put it, there's no rule against it. I wouldn't go as far as saying that it's, in turn, condoned by them (the rules), but he didn't say that either. So, there's little substance for argument here, only theory. I'd say save the energy for discussing this over next time the spirit of this particular rule is put to discussion again.

I think this is fair--retreating isn't the same as being killed.

However, re-interpreting rules every time some one gets mad is getting really confusing to the rest of us.

I have been told from day one--if you retreat, it's the same as dying.

Now that isn't the case.
