Calm down, Reeves, you can't just generalize the whole faction because of one bad encounter. Getting good roleplay in an SCRA| ship with traders who you might as well blow up is also such a thing. I don't quite know the situation, I don't always stop for people who say hello to me, I am a trader, I have my schedule inRP and can't always stay there for long talks. Maybe he was just entering a tradelane or didn't even realize you wrote something? I think they could also have been in panic and expected you to shoot, you are red on our scanners, your ID is close to a terrorist ID and they would lose a lot of money. So please don't instantly jump into the feedback because you didn't get a lot of RP on a hostile ship with a trader.
It's been consistently dodgy encounters with no sign of improvement. Judging by your attempt to just justify this behavior rather than take it into consideration, I'd say that I'm even more doubtful of this faction's quality now. There is no way I could have shot them because on the ID I had mounted, they show up as neutral. I never expected a long talk, a one line answer would have sufficed, but it was just blankness.
They clearly knew I wasn't able to shoot them either, I followed them through two systems and tried communicating with them in each of them. Not to mention that they selectively ignored my ship for whatever reasons, I've had very few encounters with this new group and I'm not looking forward to anymore.
I've also got it on good authority from a friend who was on at the time, that these three ships were able to greet him in the lanes without a problem, yet when it comes to this situation, they forget how to type?
It's funny how a sub-faction can come out with better role fulfillment than a supposed revival attempt and in half the time too. Keep it up, this is just turning out to be a massive disappointment and you clearly lack the caliber to fix it.

I will have a word with my members, you calm down now and stop saying how bad this faction is because your RP needs haven't been satisfied. Although you might know you cannot shoot them, they see you as red and think you can. If you don't look to roleplay with us anymore, that is your problem, so far I registered 2 encounters you had with us, one of which where we fought. If this messes your mood up that much then you can tell me on Discord rather than flooding this thread with salt. You might also want to tell me the name of the ship you are referring to.
I want to add that I ran into the same convoy only a few minutes (and one restart) later, and tagged along until Liberty, and they made for a fun little group to follow, I enjoyed it. If I had to guess I would say they got scared, as they mentioned to my character being afraid of a Communist following them, perhaps to rob them. I do not know what happened earlier, but I wanted to mention this.
Oh grow up, if you see criticism as salt then you are evidently not leader material. If you can't roleplay on a roleplay server and instead choose to quietly bumble along on a trade-ship when someone else is taking the effort to talk to you, then maybe this isn't the right environment either. I've made my case, I see no real sign of improvement. I'm going to remain disappointed. I had some hope seeing this group resurface, but a few let-downs in a row can do a lot to belittle that.
If I can give people who silently engage me a single line, then they could have given a single ship trailing them from 10k behind a brief conversation. There is no way to justify this, please stop trying to and trying to belittle someone telling you where you're falling short as a group. It doesn't set a very good tone for the faction.

This isnt a huge deal, but especially when a faction is less than a month old them just selling ships to people is kind of weird. There are cases where there are long running unofficial factions with no official faction where this is okay, but for you to do it so quick after the faction was made is a bit off.
My main concern here is basically that while I wish you the best luck with officialdom and the like, until that actually happens there's every chance that your group will just die off. It's also possible another group will get official beforehand and the deals you've made can basically just be ignored, which ends up with people getting screwed over through no fault of their own.

Edit: If this is just the concern about the player who bought the ship being FR5'ed, that would only be the case if there would suddenly appear another group being official and disregard the evidence of the ship being bought. But that's just unlikely to happen, I simply didn't want to say no now, since there has been roleplay before that comm about it. I might regard your feedback in the future about more possible buyers, though, thanks!
I have added the systems and the treatys/contracts we have done so far to the page. Sadly, I cannot add the faction roleplay nice and ordered, because I exceed the limit for letters allowed.
