OS: Win 7
CPU: Core 2 Duo
RAM: 4 GB
Video: Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family (Open GL1.4)

All drivers are up to date and all other games run OK (e.g. Generals: Zero-Hour, Ballistics, World of Warcraft - Mists of Pandaria etc.).

Problem description:
Extreme video artifacts appear on screen making the game unplayable. Changing game settings in any way didn't help.

Edit

I have uninstalled everything and reinstalled a clean version of Freelancer. The video artifacts are still there.
I have added my video card to the file flconfigdatabase.txt to remove the annoying warning "Freelancer does not recognize your 3D video card" but the video artifacts persist.
There are no heat problems.

I think that it's the video card itself that went nuts.

How old is your graphic card?

EDIT: Does your PC overheat at full load?

hi

Do not provide people with Intel or other software drives from untested third party sites. All drivers for Intel chipset, regardless of family, can be found on their main site.

I actually had that same exact GPU on my old old PC. It had the same problem on Windows 7 but once I downgraded to XP the problem disappeared. Dunno if that helps.
