So, I scan it....read the cargo description...see that it is incoming contraband and not outgoing....and I can light them up with...."Die smuggler scum."

I just saw a Sanction that looked like it might be related to the event, maybe Smugglers need to be aware that....the are considered combat targets by one side or the other when hauling the event commodity, and not expect to be treated with anything but extreme prejudice.

Well, in any case, stop any transports, scan them and handle them depending on what they have. Remember Corsairs and Outcasts can pirate anyone, too. I'd make use of it in any case, because 5.000x15.000 moneys are enough to accept the loss of five millions per visit.

Yea...but there is a Kill Bonus on smugglers.....So, if from 7k away I see they are hauling the naughty stuff.... no need to talk anymore and that.... " Ship..... I.Am.A.Smugler prepare to die.". CD them and light them up.

5mill or a Kill Bonus..uhmmmmm...decisions decisions......I would gather most peps would go for the Kill Bonus on a Transport cause it is easy to kill...

Transports were asked to stop and cded, if you still keep thrusting towards the planet (not even impulsing or trying to stop) you die.

"7k", most of the transports we killed died at 2k or less than that. did you accidentally move 5k distance ?

I agree with you. Stop is not a demand, but if you do not stop you can be fired on...that is with normal cargo Transports if your ID allows pirating....If you are hauling the event commodity you are fair game regardless....nothing else need to be said to a smuggler.

FYI....I had nothing to do with that sanction, I just thought that getting sanctioned for killing incoming transports with the event cargo on board did not Jive with the events stated rules. Smugglers should not expect to have ample time to respond....that is what the event is about...and that is the risk Smugglers are taking.

I have a question, as it became a constant problem for any smuggler in this event. So, a Corsair/Outcast see you, warns you, engages. You manage to dock, and by recent change in rule 4.3, you are not PvP dead. You can continue to use this char & trade. But, the problem starts when you try to undock, or even return to system 10-15 minutes later. Empty cargohold, or even with non-event commodities, previously mentioned Corsairs/Outcasts instantly engage and kill you, as the "I seen you smuggling before". Are they allowed to do so?

If , for example , Corsair see you smuggling Outcast stuff to Crete , chase you 8 k from you , and tell you to stop , tells you not to land on Crete , and threaten to kill you if you refuse , but you still land on Crete , sell contraband , then after 2 minutes and 4 seconds you undock like you dint just refuse to listen to direct order of system masters , then , yes you will be killed exactly 37 seconds after undock .

Smuggling without FR5 is how it should be.
Good event +1

Actions have consequences.....do not expect to be able to run and dock to escape a demand or destruction and the shortly later......un-dock and expect nothing to happened to you.

If you then.....return to the system with legal cargo and expect to be treated like any other trader, it almost sounds like you were trying to bait someone into a sanction. I am probably wrong, but that is what it reads like to me when you described the situation.

Maybe for this event....Smugglers SHOULD be considered PvP dead for 2 hours, if you dock within range of hostiles who are trying to stop or destroy you.

No, I expected some RP after I undocked, with said enemy telling me to drop my cargo, never come back, ask for a fine, or whatever. Undocking planet and getting 6 torpedoes flying towards me without any RP is not what I expected, as neither Corsair ID allows it nor event rules. If I had event commodities, maybe they can kill me without any demand, but without them, no.
