However, re-interpreting rules every time some one gets mad is getting really confusing to the rest of us.
I have been told from day one--if you retreat, it's the same as dying.
Now that isn't the case.
Ok. Here we go again.
Yes, because for a long time it had been like that. As far as the same system where the fight took place it IS definitely like that. The issue here is in different systems.
We took a fight to O-94 because there is no NPCs there.
Also Shigeo is right. Once you flee from a battle you are PvP dead. That rule was made to stop ppl that lost
from taking revenge. Otherwise every time someone beats you, you can just wait till he leaves that system
and hunt him down. Not to mention that it would also allow switching chars.
Once you flee from battle you're not pvp dead. Stop saying that because that's not true. If you say something many times it will only confuse people.
You can be chased, or you can leave system and engage the enemy once again (if you feel bold enough second time around) when he's in your system again.
Oh and, that fight was pure pvp whoring, so no matter what side won, you all lost.
It is allowed in the rules, it's stated in the rules, and it's generally accepted by most players that it's allowed.
Gotta admit though, what I did was an ******* move, but thing is, when BHs group up and bring a battleship/battlecruiser fleet, it pisses me off so much, I'm gonna do everything in my power, within the rules to bring you down. Most people know I'm about fair play, but when it comes to an army of capwhores, all that goes out the window.
(Edit: ooh the forum has a censoring feature, those asterisks above was a-hole)
Excuse me, WE were cap-whores there? And those 2 dreadnoughts, 2 osirises, 2 cruisers and 2 GBs were
just little fighters? There was 13 Corsairs and 4 BHs in a fight. 4 BH caps and 8 Cors caps, yea, oh my, how
can we BHs be such cap whores? And like i stated 100 times, why the hell would anyone go into gamma with
something smaller then a cruiser? Last time i went in with fighter i ended up with an osiris and 2 GB
chaseing me, just because i passed 12k from Crete. The only 'fair' thing in the whole fight was that you were
coming in waves of 4 or 5 every 20 secs.
If you dont like to be ganked on by the full force of the Cretan defence, dont go there. Its as simple as that.
This is the same thing that the Outcasts do to any invaders. If they have the men, they bring overwhelming firepower. I can't blame them for that, because its their home.
We intend to follow the same rule.
4 capital ships/4 ships deployed means your force had 100% capital ships.
8 capital ships/12 ships deployed means our force had 66.7% capital ships.
Theres no point whining about it. The fact is, around 40% of the total corsair ships are fighters or bombers.
Despite the superior nature of both the Manta and BHG bomber to the Corsair equivalents, these ships make up barely 5% of your total ships
Apart from the RP group out there with Dusty Lens and a few others, which I think got dissolved recently, I possess one of the very few Manta's and BHG bombers. In fact, I have yet to see another one of these being flown in my time. Its just the Battlecruisers and the Gunships for the Hunters, as far as I can see.
You should also know that four bombers cap wipe the floor with anything except fighters, and even then they put up a good fight. The BHG bomber is fast and small, and provides you with ample firepower. If you choose instead to purchase a much larger piece of equipment instead of a more commercially viable option and proceed to lose, knowing that the entire server hates BHG BCs and BHG Gunships because of their spam, and then go and whine about it....
Theres nothing to say but you asked for it.
This issue about the rules here is not really an issue. It is okay to reengage in another system if you ran and did not die, at least to my knowledge. I do not do this, as it isn't very fair, but then again, I reckon the opposing team isn't being fair when they bring 100% capital ships, so that is not an issue either.
