I miss all the random nobodies of the .85 days. The fifteen LNS- who'd be on daily, didn't speak more than three words of English, and would silently engage you.

I miss the people who hadn't quite gotten there, trading for their big fancy caps.

I miss the 2m or dai Tridente swarms who'd prey on them.

Generally I just miss things being alive.

I miss Monty. Was always glad to provide a target and always GG'ed us whether it was twenty caps on him or a pair of bombers. I hope he's having fun somewhere.

Quite a few things really. I miss the Joker. Miss half the server uniting against Corsairs and raiding Gamma. Been on both sides of that. Miss anticipation of .86 which was supposed to bring in a lot of new toys. Miss being able to mount 2 razors, a HM and full solarises on an Ossie. Really miss Texas raids as well. Those were by far the most advanced cap fights in terms of strategy and tactics. Also miss Omega-7 being a geniunely dangerous system to be in. Miners, Rheinland authorities, independent pirates, Corsairs, Red Hessians all in one place.

He was the first to roll play with me in game in New York. I had less than a week on the server. I was having problems matching the ID and IFF. I can not remember exactly what. But anyway, long story short is.... in RP he stops my ship in NY...and he says...

"Scanner readings on this vessel are strange, they do not seem to be registering" or something to that effect. I took it as, that I had frucked up my ID/IFF match up again.

So I PM him with "//" (proud of myself that I knew to use // for ooRP I was so new) //dont tell me my ID and IFF is wrong again.

To which he replies...//No you Newb...LOLZ....it is RP... use it.

It use to be more of a challenge smuggling things into New York.

I miss all the people that we had around the time and all the little things that made the server feel lively and gave you something to do; All the little things, from lolwuts and random rookies to actual factions and so.

I miss the mercenary wars of 2010, I remember when Ench for a 10 billion bounty on all capital ships and after 2 months there were none in sight. I miss the server being 200 players, although I will say that you are more likely to find RP now than in the past as we mostly have vets/experienced players playing.

I miss the Zoner Alliance, despite their lolwuttery they created some great content in the Omicrons and Liberty. I miss the Omicrons being full of life. I miss the Taus being so dangerous I was always scared to go there.I miss Dublin gold rush of 2013.

I also miss the time when there was no mining, and the average trade route would only yield you 4-6 million. You could see traders on all the time. Now, I can make 150 million in 2-3 hours and I've probably been pirated less than 10 times the past 3 months. It's easy to understand why, everybody can make enough money to last them a few weeks whereas before you had to run at least one trade route just so you could create a new character a few days or a week later.

I also miss when Alaska was a frequent site for Order/Liberty fights. It should really be re-connected to the Omicrons.
