Well, the Hackers can be as hostile to us as they like, but the moment they dock on the freeport I will hit the SS button.

I need to sort that diplomatic matter out with xoria anyway :/

yes 2 of the Lane Hackers were apart of the official faction and seemed to be in-charge of the lot which really did dissapoint me as i have had some very good RP with other LH members who have been hanging around the hole and really dissapointed me that they had to resort to gathering a fleet to take out someone who just warned them not to fire or disrupt the trade lanes

the Phantom in question isnt the thing i am having a gripe with but mainly the LH part but it is good to know that now i know who the Phantoms are friendly with and who their main enemy/s is

bit hard to actually enforce that since they tend not to listen anyway and if i shoot at them all NPC's in the area will shoot back at me for trying to stop them shooting each other even, the Freeport would open fire at me

Meh, you control the inside of the Freeport, not the outside, I'm thinking. No fights in the bar. Take it outside.

so a Zoner docked at the Freeport 11 would allow nomads to kill anyone coming near the Freeport's hanger bay and would choose not do anything about it? i somehow doubt that

Zoners are hostile to Nomads. They aren't hostile to anyone else.

If two neutral parties were fighting... why get involved?

The Zoners established a no-combat zone to prevent stray shots etc resulting in station damage and collateral damage to others around it.
Plus if there's a large scale battle raging outside of the Freeport, you won't exactly get many people attempting to dock, they'd more likely flee from the danger.

Yeah, that's their choice to starve. There was a thread in the rules forum awhile back about the IMG Freeport having a similar "no fighting/pirating" zone around it, but openly attacking IMG vessels? If they don't apologize and nicely ask forgiveness, kill them the next time you see them. If I remember my rumors correctly, the Lane Hackers get a LOT of supplies from that Freeport, because the IMG graciously allow them to dock there. Hmm, seems like something you would condition your members to not break, since, like I said, the Lane Hackers would either start looking like the LWB, or they would starve.
