I'd say LSF and Phantoms only. Just because the ship was built by Kishiro doesn't mean they get to fly it. The LSF stole it from Honshu along with everything else to go with it. If they really wanted to continue building the ship after the LSF stole it, it'd be on their base as well.

As for the Phantoms flying it, ya they are Ex LSF and took the plans with them (if I remember correctly, it's been a long time since I looked in to that). And the Phantoms don't have many built anyway, I think Desecrator and Hoodlum are the only ones that fly them.

I flew one once, can't say I liked it much. Too much of a Brick, even with all the slots. It's stated that it was stolen by the LSF. Gonna have to go with Dboy on this one. Shouldn't be widely available. But those who do get it, should have a reason for it not just because it looks cool. It blows up cool too. *laughs.

On the weapons issue. As long as one faction isn't using the weapons from another (enemy), I'd say it's permissible. There are only a few factions out there that can run any ship gun combo... right? I mean you don't see corsairs in Raven's Talons right? I tend to follow the data cards on most things. I know codes don't have them, but really if you find one, why shouldn't you use them? Nomadic weapons... well I agree they should be highly restricted, but there again, someone kills a few wild or nomads and these weapons drop. Not much we can do about it.

That's like saying everyone needs to be able to use the Nomad Fighter (not the one in Kappa) because it rapes the living hell out of normal LFs and most VHFs and all bombers other than Dustin. It has a torp, three class-10 slots, and the energy to fire a Nomad Torpedo three times...

Or like claiming that everyone should get to use the Liberty Assault Battlecruiser because it is better than all the other cruisers...

Etc.

No real difference, if it's that good in PvP (not really, watch the powerplant) then nerf it, don't hand it out like candy...

There are serious differences between a nomad ship and a fighter availible on a pretty open lawful base.

But other than that you are right in your second part that agrees with what I said, balance the ships and this won't be an issue.

If you restrict the ship, then what happens to the pvp whores that like to fly it? They get the tag that allows the ship and are still doing the same stuff they do now. Restricting the ship thinking that's some magic bullet against pvp whoring is not looking at things logically. The PvP whores will get the loadout and ship they think is best no matter what ID they have to use.

LSF/Phantoms only. If you a random merc or whatever in NY flying it, interrogate him.. similar to the whole outcast-restricting-capships thing. If their RP is acceptable, let them fly. Otherwise, blow them away when you see him/her.

LSF only for me

and it should be put into Alaska.

Everyone should be able to use the ship.

If not, it should be toned down so as not to have an advantage in PvP over other heavy fighters.

It has not... that's the funny part. I rate it as an average to under-average ship. But yes you can mount some interesting loadouts on it and yes it has a crappy hitbox right now.

A thought: What if ships came with permitted IDs listed in their infocards?

That would help with a lot of problems.

I could write up a list of all the ships in the game and which ID's/factions are allowed to use them, but it'd likely leave out special exemptions (terrorist ID's, nuetral ID's, etc.)

It would be easiest if someone posted a list of every npc faction in the game, and I could go off of that.
