I am opening communications with you today on behalf of Mr Campbell, Lord Privateer of Queen Carina's Privateers.
He wishes to request a partnership of sorts with the Secret Intelligence Service in regards to operating within the Tau and Omega systems.
As has been granted to me by Mr Campbell, this is the proposal from him as I understand it. I have taken the liberty of clearing it of bad language and converted it into the Queens proper English.
-The QCP will provide the SIS with information on the movement of the Gallic Royal Navy and affiliated organisations within the Taus.
Within the Omegas they shall provide the SIS with information on Corsair, Red Hessian and Coalition movements.
- In return, Campbell requests that the SIS supply the QCP with any information regarding convoys and shipments from corporations within the Tau and Omega systems that are possible targets and that are known to be supplying Gallia and other Houses or Organisations that the Privateers see as hostile.
- Campbell will make the QCP available to the SIS within the aforementioned systems as a support and escort group to keep them safe and as support where necessary should agents be in need. This includes the Armed Merchant Cruisers, who can be made available to the SIS to move ‘questionable’ cargo that esteemed factions such as the Merchant Navy and Bowex cannot be seen to move.
- Campbell in return would like to request that the SIS use their connections to spread word that the QCP are looking for allies and trading partners in order to grow and cement their strength within their Zone of Influence.
Kind Regards,
James Gibraltar, Lord Brigadier to Her Majesty Queen Carina 1st
A message from the Bretonian Secret Intelligence Service:
To Lord Brigadier, James Gibraltar of Her Majesty's QCP,
My name is Jonas Hudson, I'm a field agent of the SIS, and I've been authorized to return contact to you regarding Lord Campbell's offer of cooperation. I have been instructed to inform you that we accept this offer and your terms, with only one term of our own; that we may require your men show some discretion with regards to their targets. We in the Intelligence department are now highly involved in sensitive diplomatic operations, as well as continuing active intelligence gathering activities in and along the warzone. We require all of our coordinating field forces to adhere to the determinations of SIS intelligence assessments, especially now.
We will send you all relevant tactical information we can muster to help you in our mutual cause, but there may be certain parties or organizations, that, it may serve our purposes better if they be left alone. Such parties are now currently under review and we will send that information, supply/personnel requests, and any other up to date intel in a separate transmission. Some unconventional extensions of extraordinary judgement may be required to maintain Bretonia's sensitive position at this time, and any cooperation we could get from your men would allow us further freedom to maneuver. Until the Gallic beast makes its next move, we must all take extraordinary measures to reinforce the capital, and support Bretonia's overall objective of driving back the Gaul. If you agree to such a term, you certainly will have our continued support and cooperation. Our field agents often encounter independently operating Privateers, so I believe we could indeed help send pilots and ships your way. We would welcome the QCP doing everything they can to organize any such volunteer forces towards anti-Gallia operations.
As to any pertinent intelligence available at this time, our last confirmation of enemy convoy activity in systems you are authorized to hunt in is now weeks old, and likely out of date. Recently a general bulletin (Linked here) was sent out to all Privateering forces warning of a likely increase in cargo shipments to Gallic forward positions, disseminated by a trusted source based inside Gallia. However, not long after the Gallic crown made its first direct threat to Bretonia in some time, and the Queen made a decree to focus our defenses and operations on holding the New London system. We are anticipating a new offensive by Gallia soon, but as to when we are yet to determine. It could come at any time. Any new intelligence and relevant information we will have for you will be transmitted when our director(s) have concluded their review. In the meantime, we ask that all loyal agents of the Queen stay on alert and within communication range of the neural net. Otherwise, any heightened presence you could muster to slow supplies flowing to Leeds, Edinburgh, Cortez or Magellan would greatly help our defense forces at this time.
You may contact me anytime for any urgent communication.
Sincerely,
Agent Jonas Hudson, Her Majesty's Secret Intelligence Service, Bretonia
