Hello, I want to do a poll to sort out how do you prefer to pilot: From the cockpit, or in third person view? I prefer the cockpit view. comment your answers.

First person view is essential when I'm piloting transports. Lanes and gates are infinitely easier to dock with from first person. Else, I prefer third person.

I usually play in third person view except when using Nomads. Nomads have an incredible cockpit view I wouldn't like to miss. The only other time when I prefer cockpit view over third person is when I use a tiny ship with strobe lights. ;3

I can't play cockpit view in snub pvp, though. The flashing lights of weapons fire gives me an instant eye-ache, and it'll give me a headache pretty quickly, too.

I normally fly 3rd person, but when I'm flying one of my BIG ships, 1st person is easier to dock with various things.

Tip: It is MUCH easier to fly a large transport in asteroid fields if you are in 1st person, you can even do it in cruise without clobbering too many rocks.

As much as I love the feeling of First person mode... I stick with third person for the environmental awareness and the better aim because I need all the help I can get in PVP... That said, I do love the Cockpit view on the ships that have their Cockpit models.

i use cockpit view when flying valor and other bs, makes aiming the forward gun easier. i use turret steer view in cruisers and gunboats. almost never use third person view

Me personaly fly most of my time in third person view, the only times i need the copit view is when i mine.
