Unfortunately, you can't because cloaks are limited by cargo hold size. The plugin is made so you can't activate a cloak on a ship that's too "big" for it.

Light Cloaking Device for ships 120 cargo and under
Cloaking Device Mk2 for ships 900 cargo and under
Cloaking Device Mk2 Advanced for any size ship

Since battleships have cargo holds over 900, they can only use a Mk2 Advanced (large) cloaks.

Hope that answers things.

I think it still keeps burning fuel after being ready, so if you take too long to type /jump you will have this problem. How much free cargo space has your battleship have?

Bigger question is, which JD do you have? If you have the 4, you need suppliers to keep the charge going because it takes more fuel then the ship itself can carry. Also there is a power core needed for the charge as well hence why only carriers/battleships can jump because of the power core need

So even say if you did have the fuel, it needs to be on a heavy cap to work, all JD's do

Hmm. As years passed since original post was published - can smp pls clarify is power and weight characterists of drives and survey modules are still the same? Cuz in game description of Survey module Mk1 saying "this is smallest module available" kinda gave me a pause.

cloaks changed(completly),jump drives and survey changed only a few 'minor' things...you can only jump @ 4 system from your current location(type /jumpsys ingame), 3,5k cargo limit and thats about it

People want to believe that God has a plan for them.
They don't wanna believe that anyone else does..

I was also looking for UPDATED information about Jumpdrives, but no lucky... The wiki, in equipments, Jumpdrives will give you a close to date information about cargo usage and fuel types and consumption.

Actually i have a Jumpdrive IV, for jumping in group and works good, but you need a lot of more fuel than 2800 (as wiki say) total is around 3500 units, and the limitation of ships for jumping with you is 3600 (Serenity transport). But my doubt is what ship classes are the limit for jump together, i know another Carrier cannot jump with me even having only 1800 cargo space, where can I find all this specifications?

EDIT: I forgot to advise... when you full charged the jump and it say its ready... IT WILL KEEP CONSUMING FUEL till you use /jump. So be ready with some more fuel than needed.

I believe this needs a bit updating.

Not sure about the fuel consumption for Coordinates and other topics, but the Jumpdrives don't use cargo based fuels anymore. And JD 4 has a 1000Meter bubble area, instead of 300.

Every Scanner eats the same amount of fuel per second, so you will munch a minimum of 6000 MOX or 7000 H-Fuel/Oil or 8000 Deuterium/Helium-3 on a Mk III Scanner, but only 600/700/800 on a Mk I and II, in exchange for their coords being only really useful to pull ships into the system. Mk III allows ships to be pulled into the system with some level of precision.

Jump Drive Series II uses 420 (blaze) batteries per Jump
Testing on Jump Drive Series III is pending, will update when done
Jump Drive Series IV uses 450 batteries per Jump

I already have all the numbers and things ready. It's just a matter of when I get around to updating things.
