It's not that hard, really.

Who should be able to use any sort of Nomad stuff:
-Keepers
-Das Wilde
-Bs| (fighter guns, we have an RP for it written by Dboy)

The rest should not even know that Nomad guns can be mounted onto human ships...

I disagree with this statement. The Wild are present in a House capital system (New Berlin) and around the tradelanes in Dresden. A lucky enough pilot to fight off a couple of Wilds will end up with one of these cannons in their holds. It doesn't take brilliance to figure that a weapon that was mounted on a Wrath/Valkyrie would fit in most other fighter class vessels, as we seem to have universal weapon mount standards.

Thanks SwissScorch Thats was what i was after.
Its abit like "not knowing of some Jumpholes"
So Most people would not know how to mount to mount Normad weapons,as they are to complicatet.

I have to say that i am honoured that this simple tread have grown that fast, but to me it is a clear indication that we we needed to have this discussion again.
I really se no RP reason for any player to have Nomad weapons mountet.
Ok they have a fast ROF. a good HP, but is that RP, I think no.
Several fractions have good weapons, and combine them right and you have a good setup.
Earlier today i downed 14 Bountyhunters 18 normads 1 nomad minor and 1 player in a Police IFF tagged ship. in my TBH Gunboat, so you dont need nomad weaps to kill them, its all my point.
EDITET so that D-BOY did not feel offended

But it annoys me when people make silly comments about that... especially brits who for the most part can't speak their own language let alone anyone elses!

What kind of statement is that, mate? o.O
That's just... No, no no no, hell look at me for instance. I use Nomad weaponry on quite a few of my ships, of course the bigger ratio of my ships don't have them, but a lot do. And my history here on Discovery kinda shows what I can do in a ship...

So, you saying I can't aim?
(No, not taking this as a personal offense, but I'm using myself as an example as that statement applies to quite a few players here on Discovery)

The more I read it, the more I figure you're concerned about the PvP aspect (?) of people using these weapons (which is invalid in my opinion, since Nomad cannons/blasters are poor weapons) and are trying to find a unfavorable scenario around to justify barring them. As much as this is indeed a debatable subject, letting your arguments reek with false pretenses and a parallel agenda won't help you, most people will see right through you.

In that light, I have to ask: What is this supposed to mean, anyway?
Quote:If you can aim you have respect.
if not you use nomad.

leaves me out, i cannot aim and i don t use nomads - what does that make me? - well, i do use those lame 750 ms guns though.... cause i cannot aim... and i thought nomad guns with their 600ms were for people who mastered aiming

edit: the BHG can surely use nomad guns, they even started a war over nomad equipment... but as a BHG, i prefer buckshots and civi shieldbreakers... cause they are much easier to aim with =)

Well sorry if i offended players with the spray and pay qoute.
It was not my intetione. But i have seen alot of new player that harvestet Nomds just to be cutdown in first encounter.

Gronath: no i am not afraid,a player with 4 nomad?s dont fighten me, a good player with ID relatet weapons, do however concern me, as that player know his/her weapon.

Maby it is time to have a All server Nomad licence got by admins with a restiction of max 2 mountet on each char, That would keep it a bit down and have all fractions fight each encounters with autentical weapons.

My independent LSF VHF character spends a lot of time in Alaska, and yes it uses Nomad weapons.
So... They are not superior to other weapons, they are not for people you can't aim since there
are higher refire guns for those unlucky few. As for the Alaska Jumpgate campers killing smugglers
i'm not one of them. I just like hunting nomads in a fighter *BOOM*
I believe anyone in direct contact with Nomads such as having nomad npc's in their territory should
be able to use the weapons. If your dealing with the things on a daily basis no rational reason why
the faction could not have adapted the weapons since fighter weapons are not transparent organic
like the Battleship ones.

There are many Wilde near Yanagi. Any Junker headed out there has no doubt had to deal with them and most likely has aquired a nomad weapon or two.

Now once a Junker has his hands on said weapon it could end up in anyones hands...

I have a problem here

One player says that a ceartain noman was rebuilt and build for human use.
But i still see hat that weapon is classificed as alien, and if that if true then house police have a problem.
so if i fly into NY with a "socalled human made nomad weapon" i wil be hailed by official players telling me that i have illegial weapons. Even that the weapon mountet on my char is a human made replica.

Now give me the logic in that.
