Alex reemerged from behin the bar and walked over to where Sanako was sitting. He placed a napkin on top of the table and a freshly mixed drink on top of that. Virgin Pina Colada. Hope you enjoy. He gave her a quick smile, before returning to the bar.

James listened patiently to her explanations and eyed her carefully when it came to her interacting with the other members of the Canaan Project. As she finished talking he jumped back into the conversation. So if I understand you correctly you don't want us to tackle your more serious health issues first, but enhance other parts of your body that would help you with your work? That is some dedication worth admiring. He left his rethorical question hanging in the room for some time and took a sip of his drink before moving on. Speaking of your work: what exactly is it you do? Designing mechanical devices from salvaged parts? Or constructing mechanical parts from scratch? Either way, we really could use more people with good knowledge of mechanics. Would you care to elaborate?

This might look too overconfident or weird for you - but my health condition doesn't concern me that much - unless i am capable of keeping it in check with medication. However, if there will be a strict necessarity - i will surely ask you for ways of fixing it, even through i doubt there's any.

Sanako carefully watches Alex to place drink near her and returning to the bar, she responded with a quick, soft smile of gratitude.

Domo arigato. However, attending the given question: my capabilities so far include analysis and reconstruction of the technologies in general - it includes weapons and ships, mostly. Can i rebuild them from a scratch after the analysis? Yes - if provide with resources and time. Can i maintenance the existing samples after the analysis? Yes. Once again - if provided with time and a proper place to work...

She pauses her speech, taking a sip on her drink, seemingly enjoying it. After a few seconds of holdup, she continues.

My current expirience involves maintenance of two ships and their equipment - weapons, engines, shields, hardware part - everything in complex, and working with some other samples i've managed to get my hands on during my stay at my family estate on Kyushu. However, back then i've been mostly attending personal education my parents were providing me with and engineering were more of a hobby, however, most of people around seen potential for me to keep moving in that direction - even through not everyone openly acknowledged it.

James finally dropped the stirn and observant expression he had been making throughout the entirety of the meeting in favor of a friendly smile. That's the spirit. Health is just something you can fix, but ingenuity and curiosity are something you have to posess. I saw your ship when we met for the first time and I remember even complimenting you on how it looked. From what I could gather from my scans it wasn't only in exceptionally good condition, but also modified with some top notch parts, as well as what I'd assume to be some of your own creations.
He un-crossed his legs and leaned forward in his chair, resting his ellbows on his knees and folding his hands. This is probably not that big of a surprise for you, but I would be honored if you would join us to contribute to the Canaan Project with your abilities. You can use every research facility on the Arcadia and are welcome on all the ships of the Canaan Project. You can adjust the callsign of your vessels to include the Canaan name, or not. Your choice.
James looked at the reaction of everyone in the room while making his announcement. Any objections? The tone in which he posed that question made it clear that he was asking as a formality, and not to receive an answer. How about you, Sanako? Are you up for an adventure?

Well, that depends on the ship. On Bishamon - my major vessel where the most of my vital assets are based - most parts are... let's call them 'foreign', as far as they are only installed by me in person, but produced by third-party factions. Weapons come from Gas Miners, engines - from The Core, hull armorement - from The Order. The interiors are, however, mostly custom and were made to fit my everyday and emergency needs. No emergencies happened so far, but it never meant i should let my guard down.
When talking about Osprey - situation is slightly different. It's husk and weapons are 'third-party', while naviagtion system and the hardware in general is slightly improved to be more resistant to affections of the harsh enviroments - like, for example, irradiated Kappa,
and the engines: those i have built personally, using the black market model schematics. Was the most exciting one to work at, even more exciting compared to retrofitted Gallia engines, which turned out to be much more simple that i have expected: based off the existing Sirian engine models, the changed added were purely... cosmetics. They are all even running on H-Fuel, not promethene.

Sanako took a short break from her speech, and finished her drink. She had plenty of different feelings about being allowed into the ranks of Canaan project: honoured to contribute in it, happy because even her most ambitious plan so far have succeded, relieved that it didn't go as complicated as she expected... and a lot more complex feelings she couldn't really describe.

You don't need to ask me twice, James. Just stop for a second, look around - i have made it there just for a chance of blind luck to contribute into Canaan project, to be a part you? Isn't that enough to proove me determined enough to walk this path until it's logical conclusion? With you by my side i will go as far as i will be able to afford.
