Sad to hear because I would have taken the opportunity of using it if it would have been made a thing.

I've probably missed out on that feedback you mentioned, can you provide me a link to it or some other source of information to enlighten myself?

There is no written feedback for it, unless you want to dig through the shoutbox archive for it, but it basically it boiled down to non-newbies hating the message popping up every time they jumped into Penny. Since it wasn't just a few people frowning about it, I decided not to push the issue and risk it becoming a thing in multiple systems at a time.

This looks like bullocks reasoning. Ability to sink cash for something as non-disruptive as this should be pursued. When people keep shouting how POBs are harming gameplay, nothing is being done. When as small fluff as this that could help erase billions is being shouted at, it's abandoned. Really guys. You need a pair and of balls.

The feature is currently being used to notify players about the contested system they just entered, and I don't really see anyone complaining about that either. I mean, I understand the difference is that in the case of Penn it was just an advertisement about lawful missions for newbies, but it still can and is being used for more useful things than that.

I, for example, could request a warning for players entering Roussillon about the special restrictions and laws of The Council related to the system, so they know what to expect and proceed with that in mind. That would end up in less surprised random faces getting blown out of the sky for illegal traversion because they did not bother to read the relevant forum post.

The current team might have a different view on the situation at hand, I suggest you make a discussion post in the Faction Leaders section, given that it is going to be used by you.

The billboard was my project, which I cannot continue due to not being a staff member. I simply wanted to clarify that it was dropped before that happened, due to the discussion surrounding the existing uses of the plugin or bad feedback, similar to the Uncharted sector, Titans, etc.
