I did account for my ship on the forum, since it was a request and not a requirement.
Once she posted this she lost me for good:
' Wrote:Ah, but you see, Akuma, you have every right to do that, on the server. Thats the point of an open server. We have every right to pound on you for it, because there are more of us, and so long as we follow server rules, we win. We haven't broken any rules, and the admins are siding with us, so you can continue to give a rats ass what the forum community thinks, but understand, we're bigger, and we're more organized. We run factions, we join factions, we stay around, we talk in skype, and we know who you are, and we seem to dislike what you want to stand for. Thats the climate, as I see it. The forum goers and faction leaders have lots of friends, and lots of influence...that, as Xoria explained somewhere else, means we can walk all over the less organized or smaller groups of people who disagree with us on the server.
Quote:this thread is about indies who dont roleplay. who only sit in their ships and shooting everythign without any roleplay behind it ....
ah really, ONLY for the BAD Indies,...
and what is with us GOOD Indies??
Well, iam also against such "Capwhores", as i dont like to call them so, they are "IndieCapShips" (ICaps),
flying around and look for there PVP only,...
THAT IS A PROBLEM, yes
BUT DONT MESS ROLEPLAYING INDIES CAUSE YOU ARE IN A FACTION AND JUST DONT WANT INDIES AROUND...
I explained an example in my earlier post... whats about that...
I like that CSW idea, as i allows roleplaying Indies to find a home, a place to live, to fight for and were they are welcome...
Please try another tactics; look at the Indie, talk to him and let him do some work
(involve them in patrols or send them to hotspots, train with them - if they dont want to join the official faction, but have good rp and doing there work well, why not live with them as partners)
Not embarassing them from the first encounter, just have a look at them, observe them and after one or two days, decide wether you will work with them or not.
And to all the INDIES out there: Buy Fighters or GB's first, fly with these ships around in the systems of the faction you want to work for and do exatly that, what is recommended from the faction you are playing.
IF YOU ARE IN RP, IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT SHIP, THE RIGHT ID, AND STAY IN YOUR ZOI, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO FLY EVERY SHIP OF THAT FACTION.
An exception should be the Battleships, which should be sold only with permission, but then also to good roleplaying Indies.
Thats it, thanks for reading and excuse again my bad english

I don't think I've ever signed anything here, but holy crap.

The problem is that there are a HELL of a lot more BAD indy Rpers than there are good.
We have tried to address this, but....but...
I'm sorry. I'm out of words at the moment.
All it takes is for the good Indy Rpers to acknowledge that the house factions are there for a purpose. Register does not mean control.
And that control is something that I plan on taking up later with them. Yes I agree,
there is a problem with the houses leadership, but the bigger problem is
the amount of bad Indy Rpers in CAPSHIPS, who shoot anyone on sight.
THAT is the problem we are trying to address. You just said "An
exception should be the Battleships, which should be sold only with
permission, but then also to good roleplaying Indies." Which is the root
of the problem. Hardly any Indies are asking for that permission. And now
Akum decides to try to make a faction that encourages indy players to get
the biggest ship and the biggest weapons possible ingame, (against at least
one admins wishes I might add,) without any RP. its a Just because I can faction.
BTW your english is great!

' Wrote:Erm, if I remember correctly, the QCRF policy on Capital ships is just a simple registration to know what/who's out there. Doesn't even involve "pvping them on sight". Why didn't you register? Don't tell me because it persecutes independents (Unselie put it out as a carefree form)...
...More likely, you are just being selfish and irrational by declaring all registrations as ridiculous and unfair, and that your characters won't follow anything like that.
Do you have the same quarrels with House laws? How about... Nomad licenses. Those are registrations essentially, what are your thoughts on them? Surely they persecutes independents, because they *shock* have to be registered to legally carry nomad equipment.
Edit: Here is Unselie's registration offer. How militant/oorp/agressive towards indie is this?
Unselie didn't organise all three official factions of Bretonian aerospace to bomber-whore me.
Unlike Epyon who:
1) Organised the BLS, RoS and 101st to kill anyone unregistered.
2) Gloated about the Dreadnought he killed.
' Wrote:That's simply untrue, but the attempts to force indies into a pigeonhole will likely make the splits in the server between indie and faction larger.
You are so wrong Akumabito. So so wrong.
If you change "will likely make" into "has made" then it's all good.:P
There are more of us. That's the point of the faction. That is the essence of organized society. I like indies, I see a lot of them that are good and a lot of them that try, and I don't have an issue with them, unless they step on my authority. When they do that it becomes as bad as if they never bothered trying to RP in the first place. No matter what anybody says, there is a bigger fish we all answer to. For the Factions, it's the Admins. For the Indies, it's the factions. Don't like it? Too bad. It's been that way for three years and shows no signs of stopping. This is how the game is played. If you don't like it, don't play. You people are trying to treat factions as if we're all one person, as if we're equals to an Indie. Here's the trouble:
There are a lot more of us than there are you.
And THAT is how power works. Strength in numbers.
