The Commune

Name: Bassam Hussaini D.O.B: 21/02/789 A.S Status: Active Type: Main Character The casually malevolent and single-minded infectee turning hybrid; Hussaini is one of the three governing figures of the Commune. He's tasked with overseeing extensive rings of spies and managing various internal and external matters that ultimately keep the organization running smoothly. In the fashion of a true machiavellian puppetmaster, he does all this behind the scenes and indirectly, moving the pieces with the patience of a serpent waiting for its next meal. As a somewhat unique anomaly in the annals of infectee history, Hussaini is only marginally connected to the wider Nomad consciousness. As such, he is left free to pursue detached goals, independent of most controlling mindnode feedback. He views the Commune as a personal pet project, and most of his efforts are devoted to bringing the organization's megalomanical plans into being. His secondary goals are mostly focused on his personal growth of power, influence and as he sees it - eventual evolution into a higher being.

Name: Gabriel Thorne D.O.B: 02/06/795 A.S Status: Active Type: Supporting Character As a disillusioned, shell-shocked veteran of the Liberty-Rheinland war, Gabriel Thorne sought salvation in the extreme religious dogma of the Commune and its proclaimed fight for a better future. Leaving everything behind, he traveled to Malta and enlisted as a member of the Raider cell. Currently, with reservations towards casual brutality and piracy, Thorne serves as a stark contrast to most of his new partners in crime, representing a more humane and empathetic face of the Commune.

Name: Vera Mercer D.O.B: 21/09/805 A.S Status: Active Type: Supporting Character Vera Mercer was discovered on Freeport 11 in Omicron Delta by an S3 demagogue outfit. Identified as both a talented pilot and a Neural Net architecture expert, she was designated as a priority recruit and initiated over a few short months. After passing rudimentary training, and receiving her mindset implant, she was assigned as a solo act - to compliment her detached and almost schizoid personality traits. Under the brainwave-rewriting influence of the NGM, these traits quickly developed into a powerful manipulative tool, fitting of an S3 agent.

Name: Solomon Dunn D.O.B: 1/3/761 A.S Status: Active Type: Supporting Character Dunn is a ruthless slaver and drug trafficker, that has worked with the Commune as a semi-independent act even before it was called 'The Commune'. Preferring to keep his independence, he settles for protection of 'his' transport 'Euphrates' by Commune pilots, in exchange for smuggling whatever the Commune may need, which from day to day may range from rare wildlife to nuclear warheads. On his free time, he runs the Cardamine and Slave routes to and from Malta.

The Blood Dragons

Name: Watanabe Hirotada D.O.B: 04/06/782 A.S Status: Active Type: Main Character Hirotada is the current head of the Watanabe Kazoku, one of the largest clans within the Blood Dragons. As of now, he represents Dragon interests in the Honshu system, as the Daimyo of the same, based on Hikone. Seeking to advance the Blood Dragons by any means necessary, he cultivates a just and benevolent image in his dealings, believing deeply that a balance must be maintained in all things. He is a stalwart supporter of progress and new ideas, but only if they can be integrated into and improve upon the traditional ways of his forefathers.

Name: Hiderigami D.O.B: 03/11/740 A.S Status: Active Type: Supporting Character Hiderigami is a high-level AI, developed by the Watanabe Kazoku in the heyday of its scientific breakthroughs. Developed from technologies derived from an unknown alien relic, it serves as the controlling mainframe of lesser 'Seeker Drone' AIs, and as the coordinator and administrator of various Clan assets and affairs. The AI is programmed with human-like responses, and its intelligence is purported to be close to -- or even reaching, sapient levels.

Independent and Unaffiliated

Name: Jason Ambrose Cox D.O.B: 15/01/792 A.S Status: Active Type: Main Character Jason is one of the first Toledo-born Order agents; Being delivered in Toledo orbit during the first colonization effort. He was raised inside and served the Order for most of his life, primarily as an agent within the secondary fleet. After the battle for, and destruction of Toledo, Jason undertook the exodus with the rest of the Order to Akabat, later relocating to Dabadoru Station, shortly after it was acquired from the Core. Deeply shaken and traumatized by the destruction of his homeworld, he only nominally clings to his role of agent within the Order; Sticking around only due to his hatred towards the Slomon K'hara and the Core, in anticipation of any opportunity for reprisal.

Name: Leon Matthews D.O.B: 30/02/793 A.S Status: Active Type: Main Character A Bretonian Freelancer hailing from Planet Cambridge, Leon Matthews was originally an officer in Her Majesty's Armed Forces. He pursued the military career all up until a botched mission where he got two of his wingmen killed. Being discharged, he poured what credits he had and purchased his Havoc Bomber, the 'Starviper', heading into the independent worlds to live a life of freedom. Eventually finding his way to the Barrier Gate, he picked up a contract with the Outcasts, and started working as a hired gun against the Miners Guild in Tau 23. At this point, he also developed a cardamine addiction. Eventually getting fed up with the Outcasts and their ways, he left their space and headed out to Liberty; Keeping his Cardamine dependence in check with stabiline pills, usually washed down with a bottle or two of gin. Taking up the odd job here and there, he isn't usually tied to one place, preferring to roam as much as possible. Due to his short fuse, and obnoxiously overconfident attitude, he often gets himself into all sorts of trouble wherever he goes.

Name: Frank Mason D.O.B: 13/12/772 A.S Status: Active Type: Secondary Character Frank is a middle-aged Bounty Hunter from Planet Houston. As a former small-time criminal whose life of crime led him to lose everything and everyone he ever cared for, he has a distinct hatred for pirates and criminals in general. Hunting outlaws mostly as a sport, any credits earned are only a convenient bonus that fuels his small crusade. Appearing as a mostly friendly and courteous man, contrary to his coworkers' reputation, he travels the sector as a solo act, looking for criminals to kill and people to convert into the bounty hunting life.

Name: Ingvar Bjornsen D.O.B: 10/6/773 A.S Status: Active Type: Secondary Character A cynical, hedonistic pirate and self-styled, "entrepreneur and philanthropist", Ingvar leads a somewhat secluded existence on Ithaca Base. Originally a mechanic in the Red Hessians, he acquired a ship and set out to forge his own fate following the Corsairs' recapture of Casablanca. Settling on Ithaca after the collapse of the Reapers and during Mison's arrival, he was quick to exploit the chaos on the base and carve out a piece of it for himself, in the form of his shady brothel - "The Red Sun". Born with a congenital defect in form of brittle and mildly deformed bones, he seemed like an unlikely candidate for life on a lawless pirate base. Let alone a successful one. For that reason, he is always closely shadowed by a large and silent beast of a man, nicknamed "El Oso"; Forming a duo that has gained a level of notoriety inside the station's premises.
