Ending the Capship Issue(and more)

Oh, I see I probably added some fuel for a future flame. Shall I remove it? I was just a bit upset about what was said and wanted to defend the QCRF in a civilised manner. But now I can see it can lead to a very uncivilised row.

For what need pirate battleship or cruiser? you can not pirate in it, you can not hunt traders in it, when you enter enemy system in 5 minutes yo uare destroyed....

and what can make VHF? pirate VHF? it can tax traders ..... and that is what pirate make

Most of the people who you think 'HATE BATTLESHIPS', all have battleships. We have em for defence, we don't go attacking a lone fighter in it. That's the difference between a capital ship user, and a capital ship whorer.

The capwhore uses a capitalship when a fighter could do the job.

Yes indeed , you cannot pirate in a capital ship , but thats not something that people buy those ships for. Since you are a Corsair and the Corsair have 1-3 capital ships (if not more) pinned as their own and they belong to the clan(s) , what do you do with them? Exactly , you RP them , thats what capital ships are for , since they are USELESS for anything else.
Like I said , most players have another charecter of the same faction in a VHF/bomber to pirate in them.

edit : Mule - I agree , I myself never atack VHF's (when they are not atacking me) in my BS , BUT RP wise (I'll need to give a WWII example here)

If a Battleship see's a smaller ship in the water , wich can't even hope to handle one or two shots from the BS , but is allied with the enemy faction to the BS , what would the BS admiral do ? He will sink the ship , 100% sure about that. Because , RP wise , if he let's the ship life , it may warn the main forces about the capital ship's location.

Hey, I ain't saying a battleship should just ignore an enemy fighter it comes across, that'd just be stupid.
I'm just saying, I'm sick of people who attack, like outcasts and bountyhunters coming to gamma. Sure if we've got a large presence get a huge fleet and attack, but I always see 1 or 2 Corsair fighter/bomber/gunboats in Gamma and capwhores come in 5 cruisers expecting to pwn the living crap out of them.
This is when we call everyone in and spam them with bombers or even battleships.
If you fly around in a cap, expect to be swarmed by fighters and bombers, because most people don't like you.

I have a BS. Most of the vet's in TBH/OPG probly know it.They also know i have a fighter/bomber/GB/Cruiser/2 trader's/gunship and a freighter.
My BS has left the Zoner's, and joined the BH guild.
My point is i willing to bet that not 1 Corsair/Outcast has seen my BS in their space.I do not go looking for a fight(i know i would die in second's) It is normally in bret space to help if needed,but not very much. Or in O-15 near the BH base defending it(doing mission"s). Closest it come's to Corsair space is going through Gamma on way to Kappa to hunt those little blue mini's. (a trip i hate by the way, with all those rock's)
So i fully agree with Mule. I would call my self a user ,and not a whore.
Those people who save up then go hunting for the Outcast dread/zoner dread and so on, then fly into say Liberty space killing all in site? those i would agree are whore's.

After I had some sleep I thought of something. Correct me if Im way off track Tek, n00bl3t and other "for-indies".

Is the PVP server down? Because it seems to me be two issues contributing to the issue here. 1) an influx of people wanting the biggest ships with the biggest armor, with the biggest guns - without proper RP. To me that is just "capship-whoreship". That Kind of thing I feel belongs on the pvp server.
and 2) the unfair restrictions put on indies because of this influx of new players.

Would that be about right?

PvP server has been down for months. Tony has downgraded his internet connection to slower one until he solve some RL issues. TS as well is down (UK), because of Mortally in Tony's life

So what we are seeing here, and why the issue has come up now (now being these last weeks -> months) is a result of the pvp players having no where to go.

If they want to join the RP server they need to step up to the game. That is one of the issues. That is why these restrictions are coming into place, because the pvpers have come in assuming that they can do what they did on the pvp server here on the rp server. The two are completly different beasts.

You CANNOT have pvp thinking on the RP server, otherwise the factions and established Indies here on this RP server will react.

That is what I believe has happened here.
I am all for Indy players, if they can RP. Not RP according to what I want, but basic RP of "Hi" "hi". Many of them dont even say anything when hailed. Don't forget...this is an RP server first and foremost. Those are the server rules. RP.

"For-indy" supporters listen to me. Please try to help us factions, help the Indy players who are not doing ANY RP ingame or in the forums. That is the issue I think. That is the way forward...the established Indies. Please help us factions to train the PVP thinkers into RP thinking. If that's possible.

To Eternal: First off, if it's so useless to you, don't bother, as you don't seem to bother listening as well.

As for the points you addressed, that is the main point, a fighter flying around doing his patrol/ pirating/ whatever, wouldn't come and engage a BS, but try flying a corsair fighter through delta without getting jumped by 3-5 BH BSs trying to shoot you down, without a word.. without anything, just guns rawring, and "run noob" "lol" "I will pwnt you" being shouted in system chat, does it sound like a fun scene? if so, talk with me, i will arrange a capship abmush on your fighter evreytime it undocks.

As for Cap Ship hating, I have a Hessian Cruiser of my own, it is the flag ship of my faction with a RP story behind and reasoning.
The only battle it was in was in sttutgart, when 3 BH BSs and 3 BH GBs attacked 2 VHFs of my faction when they were on patrol.
Side to that, it only comes out if there is a cap ship around Hessian Terph.

What i hate is not people flying capital ships, it's people not RPing in it, or at all, and whoring them, taking a group of BSs around sirius shotting at anything they stumble upon.
If you RP your ship, and you believe in your RP, why not just register and get it over with? why all the war mongering against a simple task? just because you find it offencive to indies all around? the threat wasn't for you, it was for those indies that do not RP, those that need to be threaten to realise they need to shape up.

Is signing in an RP background, or a short story, or any RP that hard and takes so much out of you that you will rather write endless flames and accusation against all the official factions and their leaders?

If you, as indie capship pilots, would of invested half as much time or effort in writing down a short RP background to your ship, we wouldn't have a problem would we? the RPers would get approval and lifted up by the comunity, and the capwhores would vanish as the comunity will shake them off it's back.
