How to handle Kusari, Rheinland and the Sigmas:

1) Kusari goes to war with Gallia. Mothballed Tokugawas and bored Valors come out to play in the wide open spaces of Kyushu. These are supposedly the two best heavy battleships in the mod or something like that and it means Kusari wakes up and this can be part of winding down Gallia's previous supremacy.
2) The hairbrained Frankfurt gate not-war is shut down. Preferably retconned, but sure, if that's not possible it's just ended with some roleplay post or something.
3) Sigma-15 reverts to Luneburg because creating and populating a system then changing its designation is not a good thing to do. Luneburg is made a Rheinland system, which would generally give Rheinland factions natural ZoI in Sigma-21 via the +1 line in IDs.
4) Rheinland and GMG go to war over Saigon with the orbital players such as Order, Bundschuh, Unioners etc (even Samura/FA/Hogosha) benefiting from things to do there. Outcasts and Corsairs can of course continue with business as usual and shoot everything.

Job's a goodun.

Years of massive ooRP Sair gimme-all-ur-cows raids made everybody feel they have more than 5 battleships inRP. Sairs would just pack their Nutella and run in case of any house FULL invasion. There would be no more Sairs on map after that.

RM semi-invasion to Xi is awesome thing for both RM and Sairs. We can enjoy pewing there, every day when no real crieg is going on.

inRP wise only real crieg would be against real houses. Lore about GMG vs. RM war was like Shell or British Petroleum going full armed combat against some major Earth country (like Germany, or France). Nice exotic Hollywood idea from game scenario writer.

all +1 except orbiting

We witnessed messy things already when last event [C] vs MRG went orbitals vs. other orbitals. Too many orbitals in Disco makes orbitals be there every day, instead of ones you made war for.

But there is another case. If Rheinland push their influence deeper in omicrons, it touch all factions, and they cannot say "go away, there our sandbox".

Tbh, I'd like to see more tension and conflict. Minor territorial disputes, usually incited between usually friendly/neutral houses' intel factions. Nothing that would lead to war, but rather simply rights for newly found resources and whatnot.

That way you can get your pews if things escalate, but there is no need to go outright WAR over.

PSA: If you have been having stutter/FPS lag on Disco where it does not run as smoothly as other games, please look at the fix here: https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthrea...pid2306502

+1 for that. Getting into a tending situation allows far more or at least allows RP before any engagement than "we are at war no RP anymore".

I've been working on something like that. Discovery really needs those hotspots of tensions, complete with saber-rattling, diplomatic backchannels and angry back-and-forths. Freedom of navigation operations, being essentially the 21st century gunboat diplomacy, really have their place both in the game and in lore.

You'll see some of that coming up from Gallia, now that the Montmorency has been rescued (Thank SUPERDUPONT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

It's legal, but what we usually do about it?

Only two red-to-all factions I know are logging to help weaker side. They are mostly skilled veterans and not like 90% of rest of us. I'm not against 3-way, or 4-way, but I am against logging influenced factions to help stronger side.

+1 for that. I would do something with uncharted systems at this point, which have such rare materials or tech. But with the experience of the last uncharted events all factions are going to be too afraid to loose their loot and end up working together entirely. I'd suggest to make factions/players recieve loot for only participating, not for looting bases or NPCs. If they can get their loot after a fight or an event then potentially we would have more players logging to shoot each other.

Just that Shell was victorious once and France lost and the GMG has no real army but Rheinland does. GMG hasn't even a Cruiser and Rheinland one of each shipclass. The figths are not fair and that make it most boring.

Plain and simple, the Gallia conflict's stagnation would be easily and most logically shifted by a 3 house alliance against them, which should include Kusari. If the Imperial elements are now back within the new government, then perhaps their opinion prevails on how to handle Gallia; they secretly build up and rally the house back together with a good (nationalistic) war against Gallia. Gallia could then make a withdrawal into the Taus. Then it would be a lot of fun to see the Taus and Gallic borderworlds opened up to BAF, LN and KNF ID's for a while. Many turned up for the big battles up in Orkney! Put a few new friendly battleships in the Taus and call them 'expeditionary forces'. And the most interesting part would be how that new 3 way alliance would handle itself.

The whole thing could be orchestrated with an event like a Kusari (pearl harbour style) surprise attack, or a less sinister incident where a Gallic capital crosses into Kusari and causes an outbreak of war (maybe destroy a ship accidentally killing a dignitary or member of the Imperial family, etc). In 6 months to a year, Gallia would be back within its old borders, and the ZOI's could be limited again, or even let Bretonia/Liberty accept a peace while Gallia and Kusari duke it out for a while. But, a 3 house victory over Gallia would be plausible enough to open the option of regime change in Gallia (surrender), maybe leading to new Gallic factions like resistance fighters or GRN veteran outlaws, some kind of Gallic civil war...(?).

At that point we could see another Bret/Lib vs Rheinland war on the horizon, but what I'd like to see is a major Nomad invasion of the central colonies. Instead of constant house wars, let some neutrality return and let the houses determine their own reasons to act on others. Otherwise, Nomads would make a good interhouse invader with a much heightened presence as a uniting common foe.
