A lot of people mine for the fun of it (shocking, I know).

There is already a declination of mining and trading factions. So for those pvp whores who can’t make money on B.B. can then wait all week for a potential event to be able to make a billion credits while those that play the game for the enjoyment mine/trade/bounty hunt.

Sci-data is like world gas prices; we would all like it cheaper and we believe it’s killing our economy but yet we still buy it because we want to be lazy driving cars instead of taking a public transport network or heaven forbids, cycle anywhere.

I think it is reasonably balanced, spend a day running cargo and earn a bil, or play for an hour once a week and maybe make a Bil. You don’t have to like the idea of hard work but it is what it is.

Those who haul need money in that very Moment or they save up for something bigger. You can't just Expect an event to occur every day to supply you with money, and certainly I doubt that there is anyone who does that.

So saying that factions will die because of this is just overly Dramatic and unrealistic. The amount of money gained from a week of events ( lets say 1 event per week even though that is not even the case I think) and the money gained from hauling in that time can differ. On the long run only relying on data when you need money is just silly.

Now what do I do? Spend an hour once a week or trade gring ore like crazy for days for the same amount of money? It is objectively imbalanced, but if you don't have problems with it, it's fine.

Can’t say that logging once will contribute to faction activity now, will it? It’s definitely a solo thing.

You spend the hour online to be one of 30 people Spamming the tractorbeam to maybe get what I worked for. This is like gambling basically, isn't it? You have the Chance to make a Ton of credits with no effort, or you get nothing at all. Or you work hard and spend time earning your credits, which you will receice 100% of the time.

Last words are for fools who have not yet said enough.

Fisrt of all, easy for numbers (30), second of all, I always left from those events with full cargo somehow. I visited like 3 or 4 events in general. Like if you are not 5k away from the fight, you will get your data.

I think the issue isn't existing sci-data in the economy, but rather sci-data that gets added in via events.

I have more reliable source of income when I can trade at will rather than hope that I will get a chance to participate at PvE event. It's balanced. Two times I won 500 SciData from trading events too, so hey, it works.

Ye lyt, I don't mind sci data by itself and don't say it should be deleted. It's just about the competance of admins responsible for the events.
