They were in need of reinforcement so I logged the closest ship I had and that was my LABC. I don't think that there would have been a difference between an LSC and an LABC at this point. I ignored the PMs because I was concentrating on hitting something. (On a side note, it didn't work since I missed 90% of the shots.)

Noted and won't happen again.

There's an issue with this. This sort of behavior is the reason why there isn't any real unlawful factions left in liberty.

I too have an issue with gunboat spam and cau8 armored transports.

'Twas some snubs + a LABC vs 2 snubs + 2 GBs + a PG Pelican. Seems like the Seps had brought dedicated snub killers and were rudely surprised. They had already brought a Solaris GB to a snub fight, so they deserved about anything short of a loldread rolling up and silent engaging them. 5th did nothing wrong.

The faction leader has already read the feedback and replied to the situation, there's no need to pursue this further than that. If you have feedback for the other faction involved, send it to their feedback thread, not continue an resolved issue here, telling people that they deserve random things or they're the reason a certain set of people may or may not log.

Keep it to constructive feedback.

Hi, just had my first encounter with 5th since starting up Disco again a few days ago, and have to say it was disappointing.

In a nutshell, I got spotted on my transport smuggling cardamine circling the California star around E4 by a 5th capship and an indy bomber. I had an easy get-out by simply quick-docking at Alcatraz (which I had to fly right past), easy, but no fun for anyone involved, right?

So I gave them the chase, almost making it to Buffalo Base (via the Texas, then NY jump holes), but find myself in the situation of having to surrender. Complying with the indy's command to stop, i then find myself without even enough time to type a message before "shields failed" "you are dead", courtesy of the 5th Capital Ship...

Basic question, should I just take the easy get-out and log something else in future when I see 5th flying, or should I be able to expect a little more creativity from your faction members in return for not just quick-docking on them? Big Grin

(PS: Apologies to Grey:Evans for the irritable PM, I thought it was you that killed me at first, if you read this!)

Have edited out the name of the 5th ship involved to avoid any "trial-by-forum".

After reading the logs I have to say that the member in question did nothing wrong. He was on his LABC to escort the Redemption out we just encountered in New York. It would be stupid for him to dock and swap the ship so he chased you with this one. We are part of the Liberty Navy and you are an Outcast BATTLEtransport carrying Cardamine. Outcasts are enemies of Liberty and Cardamine is contraband. Don't expect soft gloves when someone of us catches you flying close to a lane while smuggling.

You seem to think I'm complaining that he was in a Cap, which is not the case. Merely that I gave your faction member my time, and as soon as they had the chance they grabbed the blue, rather than offering any sort of RP.

If you do indeed agree that they did the right thing, then you have answered my question, and I know what do do when I see 5th ships in the next system in future.

If the mindset of navy is "smuggler=explode", that can only lead to a smuggler mindset of "navy=avoid like the plague and don't bother interacting".

Eh, I left a feedback for [LN] awhile back mentioning what they did for me there wouldn't be given from 5th|, and at the time, I was right. It would seem you two have entirely flipped now with [LN] being near slobbering dogs for blues to the point they almost look like a terrorist faction, i've been given several 1 on 1 fair fights even when offered to be 2v1ed and you guys have gotten really good about not dropping caps for ganks, and we also had a group fight outside norfolk ages ago where Nazawo and I just kind of drifted off while fighting into a 1v1, regardless of the fact I lost the quality of 5th| interactions has sky rocketed as of late. I appreciate that.

Once again you have provided a wonderful encounter. Not only did you provide a fair fight, but after that fight was over, the second guy offered to let me go ooRP if I was too low to fight him. I avoided breaking roleplay despite the generous offer, and when a rogue interrupted the fair fight, he turned with me to kill the Rogue instead of letting it devolve into a 3-way fight.

Side note there was an =LSF= Shuttle something that showed up to kill the rogue and then left so we could continue our fight. You're all lovely people.
