Hi! Y'all...It's been a while. ::waves::

Anyway, I like to think I learned my lesson about making feedback threads, but clearly, I'm not very bright.

If anyone would like to check out my humble little WIP, I'd appreciate it.

I really want to improve, so I need to hear some voices that aren't just in my head.

...that came out wrong.

But still...

Thanks :)

I had no idea what was going on when I'd just started reading it and to be fair I had very low expectations because I wasn't sure about who the writer was, I did eventually realise that I couldn't stop reading. It's hard for me to put into words but it was like one of those books you pick up, expecting to not interest you, only to be captivated for whatever reasons.

All in all, well written. I enjoyed reading it thus far and will most likely read it all over again later.

On indefinite hiatus because the current state of gameplay sucks - ping me over discord if replies are needed

Necessity is the mother of re-invention and you just did that here. You moved away a little bit more from your past work, and it is a good direction.

It's a great psychotropic fueled world and it's getting bigger by the post and I am truly enjoying it. Not that gritty and yet no fluff.

It got in the Kaze's Bookmark Selection, no doubt. Will be waiting for more in the future.

Thank you. What you said is encouraging :)

I know my style is odd, but I try to make an effort to make each of the posts as short, self-contained 'scenes' that connect to the other posts one way or another.

Part of that is because I personally hate reading text walls.

Anyway, it's funny you mentioned about not knowing who the writer was, because it was kind of an accident that I posted this thread as my primary account.

I wander off away from the computer alot, & forgot I wasn't signed in as Zen when I made the thread.

In my defense, I did say I wasn't very bright.

:)

heh! did I also mention I'm slow? :/

Thanks Kaze I like the word psychotropic!

I assume you remember my thing about posting "Gaian Death Cult" sigs alot back a few years ago?

This thing here is primarily a reboot of the ghost of the original thoughtform that never took shape.

We're all slow and perfectionists when it comes to writing our stories. And yes, I knew you would like that word. Tongue I do remember the GDC and Banger Grim. Quite the character Big GrinDD

Funny thing:

(well, at least to me it is)

I'm making an effort to avoid my normal Gaianishness with this thing, but goddamn! I really miss getting into the Banger Grim's headspace...I was thinking the other day of adding him as a figment in that dream sequence post, but as I was writing it, I ended up with a nic-fitting talking bunny instead.

Talking bunnies are cool.

Since I'm normally a night-time kinda guy, I offer this humble little bump for those who don't share my sleep schedule. :)

Let me try this again...

When I created this thread, I think I should have been abit more earnest.

When I said I need to hear voices other than the ones in my head, I was just trying to be funny.

...but I really do need other voices. I was serious when I said that I want to improve.

I simply can't do that in an echo chamber. I truly do want feedback. praise is cool, but so is advice.

I won't lie. I love praise as much as anyone & just as much as anyone, praise is exactly what I want to hear.

but it's not what I need to hear. What I need is impressions, critique, honesty, ect.

For the record, I don't like stories that focus on the mundane actions of being a spaceship pilot. Those type of things are just not my thing & I ALWAYS click out of the stories that stick within that format.

I have a rabid view that every character we play on the server has a life outside and independent of the cockpit, & those are the stories that I like to read...if that's also your thing, (or even could possibly become your thing,) then go take a look at what I have to offer.

...and pleeese: don't be afraid to come back here and take a little time to speak your honest mind.

I've been meaning to give it a read and will do soon as soon as I get the chance. Meanwhile, are you kicking around Discord at all?
