There was a 40+ man event planned and we had server load spikes of over 1000ms which I frantically tried to fix. Then while I do that I see entitled people literally ordering me not to restart the server so they can finish their trade run?
Was nuking that ship a bit too much? Probably.
Considering the amount of swear words that followed though(That you did not mention), I quickly let it be.
If you believe that a staff member is abusing their position, please file a report with all evidence you have. The staff member in question will obviously not be involved with it and the rest will handle it.

Are you really bashing the guy and trying to convince him he got killed by something else with the message that only happens when an admin kills you or you're in a capital ship, at the time he was arguing with Skorak? Let admins deal with the feedback instead of jumping to premature conclusions, attitude like this is why we had the cancerous heavy decision admin team for so long backed by spineless sheeps that just +1 defend admins even when they're blatantly in the wrong for the sake of getting attention. You weren't involved, you have no idea what happened, Skorak will probably post soon.
Not saying this admin team is anything like the old one, you're actually doing a decent job. Keep it up.

I was saying everything in the group chat, what is the problem?! I DID NOT pm you ingame. Why couldn't you ignore it? I don't understand you, Skorak.

Yeah that doesn't seem kosher to me.
If the server needs to be restarted and people are demanding you not, why isn't just restarting it anyway enough? The message is conveyed - "community need outweighs your want" - and no one is singled out for arbitrary, unaccountable action.
The reaction was not warranted. It was too harsh too quickly. I was stressed out about the insane lag spike of course shortly before an event and trying to figure out what's going on.
I saw your messages and killed the ship.
I would have apologised ingame. Most likely also restored the ship.
But the thousand swear words and threats against the whole server made me reconsider.

That....
Also...
Smiting a ship because Skorak got tilted at messages coming through? Sounds a bit much to be honest, and i bet the swear words that followed from the player was because of Skorak's harsh overreaction and power-abuse, many would have most likely done the same.
That still perplexes me , of why didn't you restart it and ignored incoming messages?
I thought the staff is known to keep their cool and keep order around the house. That just puts the entire Admin-team in bad light, because they have somebody in the ranks that abuses their powers that are meant to keep order and give everyone else a nice community to be part of.
