Connecting to global server

Hi All

im sure this has been covered so many times but i think ive tried every possible way to fix the 'connecting to global server' without any luck.

1) install the Official Freelancer game
2) install the Discovery Freelancer game
3) install Patch
4) install Global Workload

ive even tried installing the Mod Manager and disabling IPv6 etc but i still cant see any servers.

You do not need to connect to the Global Server. Launch the game via the Discovery Launcher and it should be fine. (Also don't use FL Mod Manager)

I have launched the Discovery and single player works fine but multiplayer says connecting to global server.

so ive finally managed to get onto the discovery server launching it through DSLauncher etc.

i can only do this if i use my phone as a personal hotspot, when i join my private BT wifi it does not connect.

any suggestions?

try to disable your firewall?

Disco server's IP may be banned in your country as it is in mine.
Use VPN, for instance, Windscribe.
