Here's a good way of finding out.
Deactivate all mods.
Play Vanilla.
Got to Zone 21 and alaska and check out the infocards.

Again it saddens me that "Indies" are not playing to common sense.
Everywhere I go on these forums now, Im seeing people get up in arms about "Indies" vs "factions".

You really like playing alone don't you?

I agree its no fun for me playing alone thats why i don't have any Indi chars but that doesn't mean i disrespect there right to develop RP for themselves if they want to pretend to be a big shot they have as much right to do so as any one. It just might get a bit lonesome all by yourself. Especially if you piss people off and they refuse to RP with you. Again I'm not saying that this is the best way to go, in my opinion it's not, but that is up to them to decide not me. It would have made it so much easer and i would not need to stick up for any one if said player just RP'd along with LSF and asked permission to enter Alaska to hunt nomads. Hey maybe its not to late!!

The reason I need zone 21 is not for a joyride, but its a rather integral part of a new RP story I'm working on.

Heh, yeah, but its always best to ask, especially since I need the use of a gunboat for now, and eventually a cruiser...

Anyways, I decided it was best to just post the requests on the liberty forces forums, since all the interested parties can easily find it..

Guys, as far as the rules go, I've got to say, until I see an admin statement about the rights of such a faction to be the actual head, I don't believe your rules argument. Myself, looking at the RM, with its heavily admin based leadership, I seriously doubt they made such a statement, or hold with that belief.

Alaska is strange, in regards to the guard system debate, I'm considering it a guard system...but then, I'm considering LSF to be THE lsf, and Sniper's character to be the director of the LSF...hence, the head of the chain of command for anyone bearing the LSF tag and ID. Thats my oppinion, and nothing I have seen here has even attempted to change it.

People who disagree with me, and play LSF not part of the LSF player faction, well, I don't understand what you are trying to roleplay...Do you think there's a director to the LSF, and sniper is his underling, heading only a specific section of the LSF? Do you think the KNF, the RM, the SA, etc are not? (QCRF is a specific faction of the BAF, but this does not mean I'm not the absolute head of command. I'm the Admiralty Board, which runs the whole damn thing. The Monarch is a member) If you are playing that game, you're not playing the game I'm playing...not playing the game most of the community, if I may be so bold, is playing.

There's been discussion about the RP, or the oorp, of someone shooting a member of their own faction....but, what if that person is delusional, or some sort of extradimensional dopplegaanger? Its really the only way I can fit your rp into my rp if you refuse to accept the world I'm rping in.

Faction/indie...well, I don't really believe in that debate. I see a few people trying to rp, and getting rubbed the wrong way by other people rping...and at least for me, it isn't a rules debate. Honestly, its starting to seem petulant.

I reacted poorly to a faction expressing its authority, once. I had a train, my first train, and I had just bought it. It had GC tags and ID, but had not once attacked a npc...let alone pirate anyone. So when a pair of capitalships tore my little train apart, I cried. I really cried. Then I got angry, and for months, I earnestly tried to destroy that faction. I ran people out of this community, I alienated someone I very much respected, and I was very proud of myself. Its something I very much regret. I forgot about the community, and created my own private war. Stop before you get there.

I almost totally agree with you, Unseelie, but one minor point;

The KNF is poorly named, as it is only led by a Taisho, not a Gen Taisho. Thus, there are other Taishos for people to RP as/under. The SA is the Southern Liberty Navy, and thus the Northern is open for roleplay without restrictions (save perhaps for interactions with LSF).

Guys,

It is simple:

=LSF= IS The whole LSF
Sdssn!p3r = The director of the LSF
Me = His favorite shoes polisher, Err I mean 2n in charge

=LSF= Is open to Indie RPing LSF, But It MUST (like that word:)) Be RPed properly. Alot of person trying to RP the LSF ends up RPing the navy (yes yes,,, The line between both is really really really narrow). Some indies can RP as a LSF officer operating in Civilian (Like at those big congress where you have police agents in Casual clothes patroling, not Uniform)

Alaska is restricted to LSF and SA personnel + some players who have been permanently allowed to go in there, such as Gafwmn ( You're Awesome man! ). So If you want to go in there, you must give a good Reason. And IF you say Alaska in your Request, This is an automatic "NO" from me. Toooooo Much palyers asked it this way and it is lame,,, Alaska is a SECRET SYSTEM. Remember that, Or I'll send ma big mamma on you!.

that to me is the same as making up some crazy RP story to support say me as a Outcast flying a corsair BS with liberty weapons. Again i think we need some rule changes as far as what factions Indis are allowed to join.

and about the Alaska being a guard system I disagree but I don't care if they restrict my access say as a smuggler to be there. As long as they RP when they see me and don't BS spam me. But i guess that is a contradiction within the rules themselves.

4.3 Factions are free to restrict or not restrict access to their home systems and tax players who enter home system. Access to systems that surround home system must not be restricted unless there's a war with another faction.
