It would very likely face same issue the "puppet regime of Kusari" roleplay had and still has - that there is little to none people willing to roleplay subjugated entity, so in the end it´s not represented in any way in ingame and/or forum roleplay.

I agree wholeheartedly.

- Liberty sacrifices Bretonia in order to forge peace with Gallia, with GRN moving out California, although only to reinforce and bolster their position for counterstrike in the future.

- Bretonia becomes technically annexed by Gallia, although there are pockets of resistance engaging both Gauls and Libertonians - the latter for political betrayal.

- Kingdom-in-Exile moves into Omegas and seek refuge in arms of Corsairs, willing to make a rather unlikely alliance as not only Liberty betrayed them, but Rheinland openly cooperates with Gallia.

Who would love that idea?

Turning once again, and this time more generally, to the question of invasion, I would observe that there has never been a period in all these long centuries of which we boast when an absolute guarantee against invasion, still less against serious raids, could have been given to our people. In the days of Napoleon, of which I was speaking just now, the same wind which would have carried his transports across the Channel might have driven away the blockading fleet. There was always the chance, and it is that chance which has excited and be-fooled the imaginations of many Gallic tyrants. Many are the tales that are told. We are assured that novel methods will be adopted, and when we see the originality of malice, the ingenuity of aggression, which our enemy displays, we may certainly prepare ourselves for every kind of novel stratagem and every kind of brutal and treacherous maneuver. I think that no idea is so outlandish that it should not be considered and viewed with a searching, but at the same time, I hope, with a steady eye. We must never forget the solid assurances of sea power and those which belong to air power if it can be locally exercised.

I have, myself, full confidence that if all do their duty, if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made, as they are being made, we shall prove ourselves once more able to defend our island home, to ride out the storm of war, and to outlive the menace of tyranny, if necessary for years, if necessary alone. At any rate, that is what we are going to try to do. That is the resolve of His Majesty's Government – every man of them. That is the will of Parliament and the nation. The Bretonian Empire and the Liberty Republic, linked together in their cause and in their need, will defend to the death their native soil, aiding each other like good comrades to the utmost of their strength.

Even though large tracts of Sirius and many old and famous systems have fallen or may fall into the grip of the GRI and all the odious apparatus of the Frogs rule, we shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in Magellan, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our home, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and if, which I do not for a moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the Bretonian Fleets, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, Sirius, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.

It's funny how people forget that Gallia is not the Royals alone. But also the Council.

The Corsairs are working with Gallia though. At least to the extent of killing off Bretonia. So unless Gallia suddenly decides to massively backstab the Corsairs, I don't see their arrangement being muddled over the lives of exiled Bretonians.

Corsairs not only do not have capacity to accept any refugees, but they would be incredibly stupid to not use historical opportunity and try to occupy Cambridge because agricultural planet producing food is something the desperately try to get for ages and there was not any better opportunity to get it ever. Especially when there can be space for agreement or even cooperation between Corsairs and Gallia.

Okay, it looks like I need to get my homework done, because I remember GRN turning on Corsairs in Bretonia as soon as BAF-GRN battle events ended with Gallic victory.

Revised idea:
- Liberty sacrifices Bretonia in order to forge peace with Gallia, with GRN moving out California, although only to reinforce and bolster their position for counterstrike in the future.

- Bretonia becomes technically annexed by Gallia, although there are pockets of resistance engaging both Gauls and Libertonians - the latter for political betrayal.

- Kingdom-in-Exile moves into Omegas and seek help from local unlawfuls in there, willing to make a rather unlikely alliance out of necessity as they have nowhere else to go.

It's time to let it go. So long, Discovery.

And because of this Bretonia might align itself with... the Coalition. Strange as it sounds, the talks about peace have been around for a long time, and as Keller pointed out Corsairs are rather in love with Gallia since the latter fights the Outcasts and Bretonians. Bretonia's siding with the Coalition can also be prompted by all lawful/unlawful Bretonian factions setting aside their differences just to secure their existence as Gallia does not tolerate Bretonian unlawfuls (as the situation with the Gaians and Mollys proves). Also, if Bretonia falls, the public opinion might accuse the royal government and incline to the left (as it happened in Germany in Kiel in 1918 or in Russia in 1917). At any rate, that would be funny to watch.

@Gardarik I fixed up my idea in the post just above yours in which I pointed out with making contact with someone in Omegas, sorry for trashing!

I really REALLY like idea of Communist Bretonia, after reading your post as well. All these Bretonia Trade Unions taking control. I totally forgot that Coalition HATES on Gallia from their own reasons according to the lore between both.

A "total annexation" of Bretonia doesn't make much sense imo. Unrest within the colonized planets would be huge. What makes sense in the case of a Gallic victory is Bretonia turning into a satellite state of Gallia, a Bretonian noble appointed as viceroy by the Gallic crown.
