You know, the point about server rules is one I have a reply to, and I'd really like to post it, but I'm saving it for a future topic.

But, Unseelie did make a good point, about the administrator passiveness in the RM's case.

ohh btw, When you are licking my shoes, Err I mean PMing me in game to go in the Monstro Pie ice palace, errr I mean Alaska. We may be busy fighting some random laggy guy who prefer to minedive instead of letting us kill him. So It may take sometime to respond to your msg, So leave one after the BIP. But be carefulll, my msg box, err Chat box (in-game) gets really crowded with a lot of spam, So your msg might end up deleted by some kind of Super uber wormhole

that to me is the same as making up some crazy RP story to support say me as a Outcast flying a corsair BS with liberty weapons. Again i think we need some rule changes as far as what factions Indis are allowed to join.

and about the Alaska being a guard system I disagree but I don't care if they restrict my access say as a smuggler to be there. As long as they RP when they see me and don't BS spam me. But i guess that is a contradiction within the rules themselves.

4.3 Factions are free to restrict or not restrict access to their home systems and tax players who enter home system. Access to systems that surround home system must not be restricted unless there's a war with another faction.
That would be nice but as it stands right now it is not the case. as far as the server rules go
I'm not being snie either i really do feel that way
Uhm, it is that way...at least to myself, kingvaliant, and praetyre, thats part of the way our RP is set up. Lots of people might not care, but we do, and we are having this discussion, and have had many of these discussions already. Its not about server rules....if it was, I'd see sanctions. Show me an admin enforcing that rule, and I will consider it a rule. As for indies joining factions, I think there is a capability of people in any faction being 'independent agents', free enough to act as any indie would, so long as they acknowledge that they are a member of a player hierarchy...my example is the QCID. These people choose their ships, their taggs, their IDs, they write their own RP stories and choose their missions. It can work fine. all it needs is someone accepting our RP, the RP that virus or myself or turkish or sniper are the absolute heads of their organizations...and then we leave them mostly alone. Sometimes we might demand they rp their entry into alaska...but..thats powermongering, isn't it?

6.5 Buying an ID does not automatically mean that player becomes part of appropriate player faction.

As i see it this rule works both ways now if you want to stop restricting access to your faction then yes i would say that they would need to acknowledge you as head of said faction.

Edit- going to bed will comment to reply in the morning

So I wanted to provide a few solutions to this flamefest.

1. For indie characters wanting to RP agents. Simply ask them to post in the Forum their RP story and background the first time you catch them. Thats sorta what I ended up doing last night since it helped solve the problem.
2. Be lenient to players and try and feel them out. They could be trying to RP and not realize all the deep details of the game. Thats what happened to me and it turned out good.
3. This is a GAME for the love of jehosaphat. Indies add a nice out of the box opportunity. Ex. your in a dog fight and an indie comes in and tips the balance in your favor. They aren't poor RPers. peeps do like to play that lone wolf.

//end banter..//

Militaries are not places for lone wolves. They are places for organized combat and defense. If you want to be a lone wolf, become a mercenary.

Won't be too much work to scrap my LSF character then. I don't want to be in the player faction, don't you get it...

Then that might be the best route, hey im not saying you don't have the right to be a indi Liberty Security Force player its just... as far as the RP of lsf gos its a very strict organization with a strict chain of command. There are so many other options out there as far as factions that have valid RP reasons to be a "lonewolf'.

I have no issues with restricting ("non navy ship's") into this restricted area.(trader's/civi's/BH's/merc's/pirate's/ and such) I have an issue when they say a "NAVY" ship cannot enter.
As it state's the "NAVY" will deal with trespasser's.Meaning the "NAVY" is allowed there. If not how could the "NAVY" deal with trespasser's. I play my "NAVY" ship's RP. Ifollow order's from Gaff, as he has been made a ranking officer.I have assisted many time's in destroying trespasser's(never like doing this, would rather have them say sorry bad navigation and turn around). Yet i have had many SA/LSF/LNS ask me who gave me permission to there?(usually after i chase off a non "NAVY") I will tell you who. The "NAVY" gave me permission, and as i gothere only to do "NAVY" buissness, I find i am well in RP to be there.

I think alot of the lower ranked LSF/SA/LNS need to chill out.(high ranking officer's seem to be OK i find).
Also some of the other's Indie player's also need to chill, as they also have a power trip, and try ordering player's around.

I give no command's to other navy(faction or indie) I do not even fine smuggler's if they stop.(just destroy the cargo)(yes i destroy it infront of them not tractor and sell it).I am not in it for the money,as i am navy.
I am funded by government(my trader).

Incase faction's do not read up on which ship's are mine. The "NAVY" ship i fly is the cruiser STORMCROW
All my other char's are regestered under my account name.

I think submarine captain's may disagree with u. as they may be without company for a long...long time.
