Kawada Astolfo is a Sirius sector wide renowned expert in trap warfare. Recently, his book "On the nature of traps" has reached the top ten sells in both New Berlin and Cambridge system.
Trapology is a field of study Kawada Astolfo created two hundred years ago; it has been widely adopted in all war academies of the four Great Houses since.

Colloquially known as "The Trap Master" on Niigata star city, Kawada Astolfo is rumored to have been the mastermind behind the Imperial fleet demise during the battle of Yanagi.
In his book "On the nature of traps", Kawada Astolfo explains how he became fascinated by traps during his youth, and how he forged his experience in trap warfare during the conflict, giving detailed examples and study cases regarding how to trap and how to not be trapped. These are now classics taught to aspirants in many flight schools among Sirius sector.

Unfortunately, shortly after the war, Kawada Astolfo was trapped by disgruntled Kruger nationalists, who put him into a cryo-chamber. It's only thanks to recent research the well hidden chamber could be located.

Recently, Kawada Astolfo has advocated for diplomatic efforts to coerce House Rheinland into withdrawal, rather than frontal assault. As he uses to say, "Trap your partner with your words. This kind of trap will bind them better than brute force ever could.".

Ever vigilant, Kawada Astolfo still assists Gas Miner Guild strategists. His fear of entrapment has recently made him hire an infamous mercenary known to have had an uneasy relationship with the current Guild-master. The presence of Tal Ravis on Niigata Star city has not been confirmed, although an unsavory scimitar's signature has been caught by Sigma 59 alert systems on occasion.
