Title says most of it. What do you want to change about Discovery, or even, what change that was made in the past would you like undone? Explain your reasoning if you can and, has this change caused you loss of enjoyment, has it caused people you know to quit?

It can be rule changes, balance changes, ship models, roleplay/storyline, anything that ruffles your feathers. Multiple answers are okay.

I don't want people to be flamed for their opinions, this should be a way to release frustration without fear of being criticized for it.

Personally speaking, the below are some examples;

1. I don't like how you can cruise during combat, at least, I don't think it is punished enough by the power core drain.
2. I don't like carriers, at least, I don't like the disparity in combat ability between carriers and non carriers, if we must keep carriers I wish all battleships be turned into carriers, if the removing the drone system is seen as too much of a waste of effort, can the drone model not be given to smaller ships, transports, freighters etc?
3. The snac change; I can understand it hurts players with poor pvp skill, but it was a fun part of the mod that was taken away.
4. ID related tech nerf too harsh, can we not resolve Corsairs with KNF guns ingame without resorting to automatic tech punishment? We were all noobs once, and there is no need to be puritans with tech use.
5. ZoI restrictions; need to be far more open to encourage players to play real factions and not generic freelancer factions, or we need exceptions such as for escorting transports, i.e Corsairs can go to Liberty IF they are escorting an artifact smuggler

Revert SNACs so SHFs don't need to be rebalanced (nerfed), there was nothing wrong with them in the first place

oh and also the lane thing

Bring back 4.85, and the community, we don't anything else. Allow the current official factions to have their place in the mod and done.
Dunno, but Disco feels so empty with 50-60 players.

Not being critical of Hiryu and Lambda, but can you be a tinsy weensy bit more specific; What part of 4.85 do you want? Ship Balance? Storyline?
And try to explain why you think so.

And the 4.85 community... Yeah, I assume we mean 200 people on the server, well that can't be magically achieved, but we can attempt to draw players back/new players in to work towards that goal of course, by making positive changes that most people are behind.

I'd like to have whatever is crashing the server every 5 minutes removed :p

I'd like the Sirian trade-lanes to be returned to their orientation, having them on their sides just doesn't feel right, the issues lazy long ship captains complain about could be alleviated by increasing the size of trade-lane junctions (ie. the distance between termination points, the ones in Gallia seem to be a bit more spaced out whereas Sirian ones can spit you out less than 1k from the next lane in some cases) Though given this was voted on not too long ago this is unlikely to change unless the devs can't figure out what's causing the current server instability.

I'd like to see shield effects diversified a bit, as it stands the edge world effect is used on everything except the nomad veil and light fighter shields (I'm pretty sure the effect is only half finished too). Maybe use different shield effects according to the type of shield or something.

NPC patrol routes should be used more extensively in Disco added systems, at the moment they're used pretty inconsistently. (might be nit picking a bit with this one :p)

I want to see more sell points for a lot of commodities, it seems a lot of the ones that have made their way into the mod are only sold at a handful of places (if that) as far as I know there aren't IRP trading cartels restricting access to strategic commodities so they should probably be more readily available at trading ports and such. I'm not sure how much of a pain in the arse this would be though.

Planets should probably spin a bit slower. Ideally they'd be a lot bigger too but I'm aware of the limitations posed by the game engine.

I want mining to more closely resemble what it was like before the devs started to over-engineer it, ideally with more and larger resource fields of varying quality and a cut to the absurdly high market value of unrefined ores.

That'll do for the moment, pretty sure most of that is wishful thinking Smile

Touchmenot, I think most of what you said is pretty sensible and i'm sure valuable suggestions.
I get the feeling you are looking for more simplicity for mining and trading, which is super valid.

I'm a player that left years ago and recently just started getting back into it with a vengeance. There's two points Markam said that I think would be great in certain capacities.

The tech nerf makes sense but it's a bit much. Allied tech should carry less/no nerf, at least in regards to the weapons. The United States sells all kinds of military gear to their allies, why the hell couldn't the Crayter Republic buy weapons from Bretonia?

OMFG this! (highlighted section) How am I supposed to escort people as anything but a freelancer? If I'm playing as Crayter Republic I can't escort a trader from Dublin to New York even though it's 90% in my ZoI and the other 10% is a house that is friendly towards me!!! Definitely keep most of the restrictions, but maybe lax up a bit on actions that make perfect sense but are arbitrarily verbotten so that I can actually interact with other players instead of me staring at the character screen while I'm trading hoping someone will go into my ZoI so I can interact with them.

I think Disco needs to be a standalone game at this point instead of being a mod on an almost two decades old engine.
