ZoI as everyone remembers it hasn't been a thing in years. Anyone can fly anywhere and talk to anyone. They just can't initiate combat outside of their ZoI (but can defend themselves, and occasionally allies if the ID allows for it)

Landers - That's the long term plan, but I suspect you know that already.

And try to explain why you think so.

And the 4.85 community... Yeah, I assume we mean 200 people on the server, well that can't be magically achieved, but we can attempt to draw players back/new players in to work towards that goal of course, by making positive changes that most people are behind.

I'm fine with the current mod, except for the Wraith's stats.

With reduced death timer, the survivability of snubs should also be reduced, preferably by removing half of their nanobots.

I would argue that if that happened, SNAC instakilling snubs wouldn't even be that bad.

Fix the Plier.

Make guns with higher refire than 6 usable again.

Increase thruster drain or make strafing consume thruster drain.

Delete every single gun with 'Solaris' in its name.

Give the Order its dreadnought, Horus, at least that the leader can have it.

Trading events. Right now, these new updates really messed my trading routes and I'm currently trading oxygen to feed my dog. It would be very nice to have common events such as trading events. Would help a lot. (Me) It's too hard to make money nowadays, staring at the screen for days to get yourself only a CAU VIII. (Me)

Fix the community.

Give rights for the official factions to talk and decide. Some story parts really make no sense, I can even post the evidence of them with an explanation. This means you should write stories which make sense, not to just do whatever you want to. Official factions shouldn't represent themselves as golden statues, if you know what I want to say.

This is my opinion and I know you won't even think about reading or even applying these changes. I gave my word here.

From one of the threads I noticed on ranking ships, few people play cruisers. I enjoy playing them but their biggest disadvantage I feel is the role it plays doesn’t really make it as viable as it should be. It seems the main focus is for it to be a sieger against caps but the range of its siege weapons is somewhat lacking. The 500m distance from it firing and it being within range of being fired upon in my opinion is pretty pathetic of a margin.

I would like to see that increased a minimum of an additional 500m or possibly even 1000m. Once a cap gets within range it’s turrets and even Mortars don’t seem to have a big enough impact to allow it to survive a close combat encounter. Which it shouldn’t since it’s not designed to go close quarters with any other caps anyways. You could always increase its booster thrust a bit more as another alternative but I don’t think that would fix much.

@ Markham. I'm coming at it from more of an RP perspective than a simplicity one, it just doesn't make sense to me that ore is worth more than the finished product, mining is extremely localised and that in demand trade goods are not more widely available on the market. Of course if simplicity is a side effect I'll take it Smile

Thank you to the people who are expressing their opinions, there are no invalid opinions in this thread and I hope at the very least we can get things off our chests, and maybe even clear up some misunderstandings.

Speaking of misunderstandings, the ZoI thing was news to me, and it is an area that could do with some clarifications especially for new players and returnees like myself. I still think a line should maybe added to the ID's to aid understanding, and to clarifiy that it is okay to defend a transport that shares your tag/ID regardless of ZoI.

I saw threads from the Unioners asking for ideas on what to do, if the ZoI situation is as is stated, I would recommend Unioners get to trading across Sirius. Trade convoys are a lovely bit of a RP and possible PvP trigger, not to mention a way to get people to log in potentially. If only there was a way to reward transports for being protected somehow. Better profits? And on the flipside, create rewards for intercepting said transports for law enforcement or rival criminals.

Edit; Can we use the plugin to add rewards to escorts, or add rewards for kills of certain factions in certain systems? i.e, Corsairs in Kusari trading artifacts - Corsair ID'd ship sells Artifacts at Kabukicho, automatically gets rewarded with X credits, if escorts are in system and in group, they get Y credits, If Blood dragons or KNF destroy said Corsair ID'd transport/escort, they get Z credits.
