I've only ever seen an Admin on once. In my entire time on Discovery.

Edit: To clarify here, I meant server not forum. (I just saw Igiss' name reading thread.)

(I'm with Robert.... here in the Colonies I haven't seen an Admin on for ages. Except the other night, when I was up at 3am)

It's not an encouraging sign that an admin hasn't posted here yet.... whether they think the rest of the community is overstepping its bounds, being a bunch of trumped-up whingers, or w/e, clearly things have gotten to the point where we're having to get it in the open. I mean, 7 pages and no flaming, that's gotta be a sign that everyone feels united in their concern.

Server moderators with limited powers actually do work. I have been one on several occasions on different servers with the power of unsticking, moving, and other general day to day server management. But only a few of the trusted ones had the power to kick/ban other players. Server police do not work for all the reasons already stated. But yes, more admins would be good as well :D

I have not read all the comments here, but this much I do know from my own experience from another server.

It is hard enough with all the RL stuff (Work, school, etc.) to spend as much time in game as an Admin, let alone enjoying the game with other characters you have made.

Then when you do get online, (no matter as admin or other character), you get flooded with in-game messages from this person or that about favors or problems......

It has been quite a while since I had to do any of that, but having a so-called server police or moderators to get someone unstuck from a base or transfer this or that may cause problems. If they use flhook here, (havent seen any newer versions), .BEAM used to cause server instability, so many times it is best to use Ion Cross. And with that, one has to be trusted greatly to have access to another's computer.

I could only imagine how much more workload it is here on this server for the Admins due to the sheer magnitude of players compared to other servers.

My point is, I think there are enough Admins, If they feel that they need more help, they will look for it.

What I suggest is that we try to work as best we can with others to resolve issues in game with each other and have patience with them. And, if after all else has failed, get help from an Admin and have patience with them as they resolve the issue.
