So, I made a thread about this before, but I didn't do it justice. This time I will talk about everything that can be done to fix nomad remains; not just one piece of the problem.
Firstly, their sale price to NPC's should be rebalanced, so that more people will sell them to NPC's. This will take some out of the economy, so that their value to players can increase as less are available. As it stands, NPC's pay next to nothing for remains.
At the moment, Nomad Fighter remains sell for $5000 each, Nomad Gunboat Remains sell for $20,000 Each, and Nomad Battlesihp Remains sell for $45,000 Each. A select few bases pay 2-3 times as much, but it still amounts to nothing considering the difficulty in obtaining these items.
_____
The first problem is that Nomad Cruisers drop 5x Nomad Gunboat Remains. That does not increase their value; it decreases it by flooding the market with a huge supply that by far exceeds the needs of the community. Instead, they should be given Nomad Cruiser Remains.
Let's take a look at NPC captains.
Fighter pilots are worth $5000 at most bases, and $10,000-45,000 at specific locations for specific pilots.
Gunboat pilots are worth $25,000 at select bases, and up to $150,000 at specific locations.
Cruiser pilots are worth $50,000 at select bases, and up to $500,000 at specific locations.
Battleship pilots are worth $100,000 at select bases, and up to $1,500,000 at specific locations.
Considering that Nomads are significantly harder to defeat, and that their remains are valuable to researched and used in technological development, they should be more valuable; not less.
TL;DR:
I would suggest the following values for Nomad Remains:
Nomad Fighter Remains: $20,000 at most bases, and up to $100,000 at specific locations.
Nomad Gunboat Remains: $50,000 at most bases, and up to $250,000 at specific locations.
Nomad Cruiser Remains: $100,000 at most bases, and up to $1,000,000 at specific locations.
Nomad Battleship Remains: $200,000 at most bases, and up to $4,000,000 at specific locations.
_____
Nomad fighter remains are currently selling for $500k-1mil each in the marketplace, while Nomad Gunboat remains currently sell for $200k-1mil, and Nomad Battleship remains sell for $15mil.
Just a month ago, Nomad Gunboat remains were selling for 2.5-5mil, but their value has drastically decreased.
These items are not meant to be sold to commodity vendors. Nomad remains are vastly more valuable when sold to players operating player-owned-bases, where they are used in the production of things like cloaking devices and jump drives.
In fact, I'm pretty sure some people are buying nomad battleship remains for 15-20 million credits a piece.

Unfortunately unless you were to buff their armour, They're still pretty easy. You could replace the marduks with Ishtar's and then people would be struggling a lot for remains.

I still see a few bases buying fighters for 800k, gunboats for 2.5-3m and battleship remains for 25-30 in selected places. I'm not sure where you're getting these from, but many bases are in the other end of the field. Most people drop the prices down low because they got their own ships to farm up said remains. And let's be honest, Fighting nomads nowadays are not hard. Remove the torpedoes and hurricanes like good ole days, and watch that rise up again. These selective missiles just made farming easier. And if you want to make money, Nomads are not the way to go. There are better methods than fighting nomads. However, Considering the profit-makers nowadays, this probbably isn't a bad idea. I find that cruisers are far more common than the battleships when looking for BS remains so you probbably would make more overall than through selling BS remains.
Diamond your response thing is an eye sore please keep your message out side of the quotation and only quote the part(s) you are addressing.
Like put each specific response under their respective quote. Not a rule but it makes it so much easier to players to read and understand your message.

Cyan is suggestive. Orange is my response, Red is the primary quote. Non-colours are not focused on. Considering i've done it for ages, i'm not changing it now. It also helps me directing text in different directions.
There are plenty of groups in the omicrons that do farming. I even have a Neph on standby with a variety of weapons to help with the farming. Also, if i recall. I believe in another thread, we offered our help since we had ships on standby if you ever needed assistance with farming for remains. I still have my ship in the Omicrons, Too.
Look, I'm not suggesting this, as a way of selling remains. I would not sell my remains to the NPC base, even with the proposed raised prices.
But, some people would sell their remains to NPC bases, in order to make quick, reliable cash without having to wait to sell their remains.
This would make the market less flooded with remains, with less people hoarding their remains to sell to players, since they'd at least be able to make something at NPC's.
This should result in their value to players going back up.
Remains have gotten incredibly low in value because people continue to flood the market with them, and everybody has more than they need.
I can't even sell my gunboat remains for $200k a piece.

These bases are not buying them at this price -- they're trying to SELL them at this price -- and nobody is buying them.
I sold 1000 gunboat remains for 200mil the other day, and was happy to make the sale, despite the remains taking many, many hours to farm. They are worthless now; I can make faster money on NPC military capital missions than I can on nomad missions.
These newly suggested prices of mine are not meant to be the player value for these items. These are simply meant to help drain some of the excess materials out of the economy, ensuring that they will always be worth more than that to players, because if their value ever drops, they'll be sold to NPCs until they're rare again.
And, I know that farming nomads is not an effective way to make money, but trading gets boring, with the lack of pirates. I prefer to have several ways of making cash.

Event? I mean, Perhaps using the energy from the organic remains could be used to power a new wormhole to some place. I'm sure the nomadic remains can be used for some event or story progression upon the effort required to obtain.
The Nomad remains player market is kind of dying. There's so much POB equipment in circulation that it's just easier for players to buy what's already out there, rather than having items constructed for them.
I think buffing the sell price at NPC bases would be excellent. Especially since thanks to brilliant, healthy changes to missions it's even harder for factions with light battleships only to farm.

Not really, just not so much players need cloacks. Add here, that only nom BS have price, and all other remains just easy farmable garbadge, you will get market with flow 10-20 BS remains/month. There big stock not of equipment, but of remains themselves. Obviously they farmed much faster than equipment produced and not proportionally, what lead to high prices of BS remains, and overstocking of all others.
But ye, BS remains can be upped to 1-2 mils, fighter up to 50k, currently Corsairs have bigger price . Gunboats up to 100k max, they really too easy for farm.
