Sara was slowly getting used to life in the Coalition. It was different from the life she had experience in the Rheinwehr, more emphasis on loyalty and dedication and it felt like everyone was needed for their job. She was starting to grow fond of the place. Eversince the assisted escape in Stuttgart, she barely thought about the past, what had happened on the Skadi or what happened to the others that were with her, it all seemed so distant now. So close, yet so far.
Walking into the Hangar Bay, she eyed around before spotting the Thor that Keller had talked about, a smirk on her face. She used to fight those, now she would be flying in one, an unusual thought but exciting at the same time. Walking up to and around the vessel, she eyed it over slowly, up around, getting to know every crook and crevasse in it's armor and hull. She climbed upon it's wing and with a hiss the cockpit opened for her. It took her a while in awe at the controls before she slid into the co-pilots seat and began to familiarize herself.
Her concentration would be interrupted by the abrupt sound of the canopy being shoved open. With a quick glance she'd notice that Lukas had climbed into the flight-seat, in his combat-service uniform for standard flight operations. It was fairly utilitarian, the only designs being the decorations on his either shoulder, leaving no room for doubt that this man was the Field Marshal of the Revolution's Army. "This will be a live practice session. I will put the ship to the test to get used to the weight and quirks of the space-frame, see if you can keep pace with maneuvers and track the asteroids that we pass by.
He didn't say anything else before kicking the ship to life and supplying the ship's Hessian propulsion system with full power, rocketing the craft out of the Katz's hangar and into open space after a brief pre-flight check-up and sortie authorization.
"Knowing Humanity - We will be duty, bloody and unavoidable."
She slightly jumped up in her seat, startled by the sudden hiss of the canopy opening, she glanced up to find Lukas climbing into the pilot's seat in his sleek combat uniform. Her eyes flickered around the systems of the ship as he spoke to her, she listened closely then. "Not what I was expecting today, but nothing is better than learning by doing. I shall try to keep pace and target closely."
She then powered up the weapon systems as the Thor came to life, supervising that everything came to life in an orderly fashion, tracking systems and gun controls especially.
