Well, my first RP, Willow, was Uber, and still is...ever since that first introduction, though, I've given him just enough so that he doesn't die like every common footsoldier, and a bunch of extremely good, dumb luck...

Beyond that, though, is Mia, who's 'normal', and I have to say she's my favorite to RP by far...daugther of a high-class family who joined the Military to escape the shadow of six older brothers making millions in the Cardamine business with incredibly low self-esteem and horrible skills in a fighter, who claws her way to the very top because of an inferiority complex, via ingenious political mind. Originally she was just a throwaway character to act as Willow's lady friend, but I fell in love with her and made her my star character...

After that we have Old Eppy, a mid-60's British man who's never shot a gun in his life but still manages to be a royal hardass when he isn't drunk or screaming about Corsairs and Flanksteaks (he has an irrational fear of cannibalism. I've been trying to find a word for it...)

There's Sarah, who's an overly smart teenager who got so sick of rich, boring life she ran off to join the circus (HF) and, again, excelled, then gets shot down, loses everything, marries her Outcast boyfriend and runs off to join the 101st. She's not my favorite but I like her...

Squatting Partridge is newer. I don't play him often (because I have my Outcasts to deal with), but he's a disgruntled (Answer to LPI App Question Eight: THAT HAS GOT TO BE THE DUMBEST QUESTION I HAVE EVER HEARD.) Native American who's trying to buy off the Reservation Chiefs so he doesn't have to have them pay for his tuition and he can go to Princeton (he has the grades, but the Reservation doesn't have the money). He likes Chai tea and Blueberry muffins, and won an international child's racing championship in a Templar when he was twelve. He's alternately very sarcastic and depressed, depending on how I feel at the time (Sarcasm during depression and depression during sarcasm).

Huh. That was an interesting spontaneous character analasys. I need to do these things more often...

I try not to create superheroes... but my characters have a habit of doing well... They don't have superpowers, and generally earn their places.

I don't like playing losers. Apart from the gags about getting caught with illegal porn that my smuggler makes.

Hmm lets see what I have..

Karl Agathon - Average LPI officer, perhaps above average in fighter skills, but nothing spectacular.

Mike Agathon- Karl's older brother. An ex-liberty politician, he got fed up with the constant bs he had to go through, and left to join the zoners, to get away from the houses. He's a bit smarter then Karl, but is a little less skilled in fighters...

Hydra- A rogue pirate with not much background... flys fighters or transports and pirates for goods. He'll take anything he can get (he once pirated a trader for his lunch (1 food ration). He never fights, and prefers to run to safety, and bring his loot back to the base.

Now... my Valhalla characters. Each represent the typical Navy officers, at times they may be stressed but they aren't epic in any ways. Each has strengths and weaknesses and must work together. Even as a whole the ship won't be epic. There will be constant problems with the prototype equipment... though some of the technology will be interesting (Like the cloaking device my ship has)

I’ll carry this flag
To the grave if I must
Because it’s flag that I love
And a flag that I trust

Like Blunt, my chars are average people who have a bit of luck and who manage to pull ahead of the pack.

Victor was orphaned at 8, stole a ship, made a few credits, settled in Rheinland, and now captains one of the only RM sanctioned independent Rheinland Gunboats. does that make him a "superRP"?

my Outcast is a washout from the military who got one last chance at revenge.

My Hacker is the only "superRP" I can think of, and that's cause he's a tactical mastermind who was snubbed by the LN for his...lack...of physical strength.

Guilty, guilty... When I have more time, I'll outline all my chars, but for now I'll only go into Vince Piccio, known to his enemies and friends alike as 'El Fantasma' (one of a pair known as "Los Fantasmas de la Nube Siniestre"). He is the embodiment of a superRP, which is why me and Gronath have decided to "bring them a step down from uberness" by introducing a weakness - after the current massacre is over with of course MWAHAHAHAHA

None of my characters is super.

Coachwhip is an Ex-Navy Xeno who only joined them because he needed somewhere to stay over the years he's just caught the bug and is now properly one of the crew.

Reynolds is a nutter, a megalomaniac with delusions of granduer, but that's it. No super powers he just leads the Rogues.

Samantha my trader is just that a trader she's normal, totally. Nothing special or different. She just plys the lanes and hopes for the best. Picks up her paycheck and eats synthpaste.

Saint Del is considered a holy healer of diseases of children, but also as a protector of cattle.

Lets take a look at mine, shall we?
Fist comes Honestic (Lope Cortez):

He started as a Liberty Rogue who used to hunt Bounty Hunters for the rewards on their heads (a Hunter Hunter), then he discovers Cardi, gets adicted, goes to Malta, buys a small plantation (keeps comsuming cardi) his bussines flourishes and finally when his addiction is about to kill him, leaves his money to his only son, and his plantation to one of his most trusted men. Now he flies/floats around Malta in his old GB mumbling something about Hunters.
He sounds like a loser to me.

Then comes Wraith (Honestic?s most trusted man)

He was a worker at Honestic?s plantation, and after years of restless loyal work, he recieves his own plantation and joins the BLS, now he delivers the orange dream to Liberty (specially to his best buyer in Huston when he is able to sneak in). And he dreams with becoming the greatest Outcast smuggler.
Sounds like the average Outcast Sumuggler with "dreams of uberness".

And finally Carlo (Honestic?s Son)

You could say that he is my favorite char, and he is also a bit... uber... perhaps those two things are related, perhaps not.
He even has his own story (see sig), but i will sumarize it: He begins as a Moralist Kusarian freelancer expert at fleeing and dodging enemy fire, he gets caught with contraband (you are right, Cardamine) and "accidentally" loses everything he had, so... a lot of stuff happens regarding the Kusarian Navy, Corsairs, Outcasts, Blood Dragons ans specially GC, (read my story if you want to know more  ), then he gets his fathers money to later get hired by an "apparently" secret Zoner reasearch group, which sends him in a ridiculously dangerous and "apparently" innocent mission, in exchange for this work, they offer him an old cuiser prototype (at half the normal price, greedy bastards)... which results to be not enough.. for the danger he had ahead. (i havent finished it yet)
Then he gets "hooked" with his new Zoner lifestyle and decides to permanently lead the reseach group that originally hired him (and coincidentally lost his leader; This is the end i have in mind)
As you see he is my favorite, and besides the fact of being some sort of secret researcher and lucky cruiser bastard, theres nothing really "awesome" about him, he still flies around Freeports in the Omicrons Systems making sure that their rules are respected. He just got lucky.

And then would come my lastest project.
Desired Distortion (who forgot his name long ago)
He is the Second in GoS command, after his family was murdered he went in search for his father?s employers and... huh... i still have to think in exactlly what happened with him in that time.. when he returns he finds himself figthing along both of his brothers and thogether they decide that Liberty needs a change, a big one.

As you see with the exeption of Carlo, the other two are just "average men" doing average stuff. And well, Distortion, im still working in him, but he is kind of the silent man, who speaks only when it is requiered, and always comes up with cool ideas (perhaps that will be his strenght).
Aparently my chars oppose each other;
Honestic is a hopeless adict - and Distortion is a charismatic leader.
Wraith is a bussiness man interested only in money - and Carlo in a Loner who has a passion for the unknown. So i will say that my RPs are 50/50 one average for every winner.

I dont need Cardamine, really i can stop anytime i want. Why is there an inhaler in my ship? errr... it was a gift...

yeah, Mon'Star is a "bit" super. ;)

seriously though, would you read my stories if the main character was average?

i base my characters on comic book standards, because that's the kind of characters i like to read about. they each have a niche and in that niche they are over the top.

all through school i was made to read the "classics" and for the most part they bored me. one thing i don't enjoy is reading about average people in their average lives, i get plenty of that in my own life. if i'm going to make a character and roleplay it i want it to be special, something that'll give me the escape that video games, movies, books, etc etc.... give me

My characters are pretty normal. I dislike playing superheroes really, I prefer anti-heroes a lot. But there is one thing almost all of my characters share, and that is a spontaneous situation that changed their lives. For Schunterr it would be winning his first transport (a beaten up Percheron) in a small time poker game and working his way up from there. Meisnerr on the other hand happened to be in the very middle of a large conspiracy in Rheinland that took him all the way from a Kruger employee to a Red Hessian commander. All of them are just men who make use of whatever fate throws at them, they eventually contribute their considerable share to the universe around them but will most likely never be written down in history books for it.

... unless of course, something unexpected happens:P
