Last 4 hostile encounters I personally had with RHA, whether they knew it was me behind the ship or not, UN or not, and sometimes I go to extreme lengths to conceal who I am behind the ship, I generally got attacked from multiple people simultaneously.



Killing fast seemed to matter more than the fight itself.


It's interesting Markam brings up the attitudes expressed in RHA towards myself. It's only a couple of members. There are RHA members who are Unioners, for example. I'm personal friends with about half of RHA's major roleplayers. However, I've seen a certain RHA member try to push somebody else out of their own faction HQ, because they'd figured out that they were also my 2ic. -That- is a massive problem. Getting shot at by a bunch of people who dislike how I set up roleplay, fine, whatever. Can't please them all as much as we try to.

People try to sabotage actively? Because they feel a need to defend RHA, even if Wesker doesn't agree with it? That's not very... hrm.

I'm treading carefully here. I believe it is a few individual people in RHA which give the rest of the group a bad rap. I think that RHA, generally, needs to realise that other people arn't out to get you. We're not here to knock you down. We're just roleplaying our own individual corners. You don't need to go to extremes to secure victories, be they solid ingame encounters, or an oorp situation.


I'm treading carefully here so this doesn't turn into a flamefight between X or Y party who might see this post and think that's an invitation for a six reply character takedown.


Bitterness works both ways. If people feel RHA is more invested in appearing 'powerful', whatever that may be, than mutual interactions (irrespective as to if RHA is, or isn't), they will be reticent about giving RHA interactions.

There isn't any easy answer for this one. Not every faction can bring proportional numbers. Equally, winning all the time engenders an impression of invincibility divisible from what the RP environment actually promotes.


Wesker, change your signature. It looks bad, given the subject of discussion.

To bring an unrelated incident into the realm of focus, let's reflect on an encounter that occurred a few days ago. A group of GMG Fighters decided to raid Frankfurt and Munich, obviously because of the active war. RM had a gunboat online when the ships were returning from Munich, it proceeded to log off and immediately swap to a Bismarck. Okay nice. What followed was a 8v5, with the RM side having 6 snubs to counter the 5 GMG fighters, as well as 1 battleship and 1 gunboat actively participating. Predictably, the moment the Hessians logged on and the concept of tasting ones own medicine became a very real possibility, all these ships vanished into thin air. As much as I'll agree that fighting the Hessians isn't always fun, you really aren't much better at this than you claim to be.

It's almost like intentionally breaking the rules, insulting people, and generally acting like an unstable and toxic human being earns you a negative reputation. Who'd've thunk it?!

There is no solution to it. Ganks are a thing since the very beginning of Freelancer Multiplayer. There are people who have spent much time to become very good at PvP. To them, it's pretty unfair that their skill is for other people a justification to gank. Especially if the enemy has been involved in ganks against others as well. People come to feedback threads and complain about ganks, which in itself is alright, given that something happened that could be avoided. But people are not entitled to receive a form of gameplay tailored to their convenience - at least the rules don't enforce that.

Log into the game, expect the worst. You can die, both to fair and unfair fights. If things are running fair, that's good. If things went unfair, that's just life and everyone here has been on both ends of ganks already.

Solution is easy and works really well for everyone, play with people you like to play with, mutual enjoyment is key, I don't feel bad for people that get shunned because of their own behaviour, you reap what you sow, and honestly, quality of life goes way up when you stop caring about people who don't care about you

I highly disagree. Good pvp encounters are entirely possible, it just has to be serviced and sourced by people from both sides being mature and working together to ensure things are fun for those invovled. Like I said, there are one offs where things are so chaotic it can go out of hand, but consistently letting ganks happen is both a bad attitude and lazy, or toxic even in some cases.

Logging against RHA is top Disco PvP experience. RHA is milestone of skill and win, thanks to Wesker's natural leadership. RHA has some players that have yet to learn respecting others, like in any other faction.

Something else went wrong here and we call it RHA, simply because that "thing" has RHA tag on it (most of the time) and thanks to player list we can see it coming.

In order to not offend RHA chaps, I'll call it "The Group".

We didn't have The Group before. We always had a number of players much more capable than others, but they used to equally log on both sides, shoot everyone (and each other) and simply had A BIT more kills than others. Then they got smart, made friendship ties and better coordination and started to group on one side. It's natural to fly with a friend. That's how The Group was born, imho. They became able to farm blues, with just few or even no losses on their side. They knew how to adapt to game changes, they researched new combat techniques and simply were better together. Then they got MUCH better.

Are others forbidden to do the same? No.

So, that makes them right. Sadly, that made some other aces leave. That also makes common player avoid pewing with The Group. That's also natural. The feeling is like being in a ring against a stronger boxer with longer hands and better trainer. I can even enjoy fighting him, but not more often than couple of times per a month - with my balls size. Also, pushing others to fight, or to not fight him is bad business.

Sorry I have no smart suggestion how to solve this issue, but I know sudden balls growing will not happen - on either side.
