Anyone have any opinions on this? I just found out about it, i had heard rumors but always assumed it was an unofficial, turns out its being made by blizzard as an official project.
Vanilla wow holds a lot of nostalgia for me, and i think that all of the changes over the years to appeal to the instant gratification crowds have really hurt the game. I quit back during wrath of the lich king because of those changes, and i see the same approach to nearly every game on the market these days: instant gratification, no challenge, no chance of failure or penalty for failing, it really takes the life out of gaming and you dont get the same kind of community or immersion anymore.
I told myself I'd never touch warcraft again after quitting back in 2009-2010, but the chance to play pre-bc again might just draw me in, and maybe i can convince my wife to tag along. Hardest part will be convincing her to join the horde and not go with the lesser "pretty" races of the alliance.
I played a nelf druid Main for 4 years, from launch day through wrath. Only reason i really went alliance was because thats where all mu friends decided to play.
If i do get classic, its a chance to try things over, and 99% sure id go with an orc shaman this time.
