Quote:4.4 Every char must have only one type of ID equipped and they must play to that ID. Ship and equipment infocards which specify their use on a specific ID or specific ship must only be used on that ID or ship. In all other cases where these restrictions and allowances conflict with the server rules, the ID overrides the rules except as described in 4.5
Consequences:
Your ID does not allow you to defend transports of the same affiliation outside of your ZOI. Make sure to re-read your ID so further misunderstandings do not happen.
If you require evidence, you may request such via PM from a Staff member. Only the accused or an official faction leader of the accused person's faction may request such. Once you have the evidence, and if you wish to dispute it, you may post in the Sanction Thread below. Do not continue PM'ing a staff member, as that will result in your Appeal being denied. If you PM a staff or post in the sanction thread and you are not directly involved, you are consenting to be subjected to the reprisal of my choice which may involve in game repercussions up to a ban. Blaming members of your immediate family, neighbors, friends, pets, and assorted Orcs, Trolls and any other legendary creatures may result in the use of GM Right #CTE 750AE
I am not allowed to create a convoy outside my ZoI?
I asked Implosion the same question earlier and he said it was not a problem.

I have a rule question. When you are out of your ZoI, you cant attack other ships besides self defence. But if you are in a convoy, are you allowed to defend your faction members when you encounter hostiles and they attack you?
Implosion18/04/2019
Well
If they carry the same id
And you are in group with you
And they are transports with stuff
Way I see it
They are attacking the whole group
Megaera18/04/2019
Yes this is purely about smuggling and bringing faction ships as protection
Implosion18/04/2019
I see no issue though
Seems Implosion was confused about it because it definitely isn't one of most logical things on the server.
GC ID lacks this (or similar) line:
- Can attack any ship in self-defense, to protect an allied or neutral lawful ship, or in defense of a base of the same affiliation, both within and outside of their Zone of Influence.
So, yes. It appears that unlawful IDs are not able to escort their transports outside of their ZOI.
We are in the process of amending this rule to avoid future confusions and similar illogical sanctions and warnings. As this incident has happened before the change, we are forced to act on it regardless. But, due to these circumstances, it is merely a warning to check your ID lines prior to engagement and act accordingly.
