PERSONAL LOG: 07/06/816

I'm opening a neural net to to record any interesting events that occur. Nothing to note from the recent past seeing as I've been confined to the hanger, so I'll just carry on from now.

My ships have had their maintenance finished, so I'll be able to fly fairly soon. The only thing that's worrying me and the technicians is they have found a file buried in my Titan's nav-map coded VISTA. We're not sure what it does, but it's eating resources and won't let the engine module EXE. to start properly. they're working on removing it or at best forcing it to cooperate. They say they'll be finished by the end of the week.

In the mean time, I've been requested on Trafalgar. My contact on the Junker base, Lourdes Mendez has had my Legionnaire moved there. I believe it's the one I completed the Challenge in, although on my request the weapons have been retro-fitted and various types of armour and shielding improved. In short it isn't the piece of crap I'd flown in the past. As a matter of a fact, Lourdes sent a picture through from a Junker surveillance camera. She says she likes the perspective. Anyway, here it is:

She's a beut isn't she? Well my Shuttle is nearly here so I best start to wrap this up. I've hitched a ride on a pirate Transport that happened to be hauling Artifacts to Rochester. Carlos managed to get me a seat up in the cabin although I wouldn't have minded the cargo bay.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Oh, in other news, that bugger Enrique Estravez I sponsored to pilot the Celestial 004 finally reported in. He handed over the shipping manifests, and it turns out he's actually been doing what I told him and shipping Artifacts to Liberty. Turning a pretty profit too. I guess choosing him as captain was a good choice. He's also hired four crew members to help with the unloading and loading. Of course the jammy git failed to mention that he's decided to switch ship until he'd left Crete at which point he sent me a picture... And here it is:

That Train I carefully hijacked off a fat Bowex fool is now in the grubby hands of a Zoner ship dealer somewhere in Omicron Delta. He though the Pirate Train was more fitting, and although I'm not going to admit it anywhere near him in case it swells it fat head even more, I like it too. That wraps it up for now. I'll be adding more once I hit Trafalgar.

I arrived on Trafalgar a few hours after I finished my log last night. The journey was uneventful other than a few Hessian patrols passing slightly too close for comfort. When I arrived Lourdes took me to the Legionnaire, and I must say I'm impressed. They'd really done the lot over.

Power conduits replaced, armour fortified and reinforced and a nifty looking long range comms antenna that will allow me to broadcast as far as Crete without the use of signal hijacking. What I love most though is it's name has been stenciled on the side, the Auxiliary.

I immediately took it out for live fire testing and got some interesting results. I met up with another Legionnaire patrol based of Trafalgar, Raiders Gold. Gold 11, the wing leader relinquished command for the sortie to allow me to test some of the new command software that had been installed. Lawd it worked well.

We hit the trade lanes on the stretch between Southampton Shipyard and the Leeds jump Gate and took out a few BMM and Bowex convoys and snatched the cargo. Tripoli should have some MOX heading it's way fairly soon. The Auxiliary reponded very well to changing situations. For example on our way back to Trafalgar a Molly wing attempted to ambush us. the element of suprise didn't help them and they were wiped out to a man. we didn't take any losses. With the help of Gold 11 we took out the Wolfhound that was leading the pack:

In all a very good day. I havn't heard from Enrique since yesterday though. I was hoping to find out how the new ship's first run went. Oh well.

I'm happy with the Auxilluary's performance, so I'm getting another ride back to Gamma aboard another Legionnaire patrol. The wing leader agreed to drop me off at Cadiz where I'm catching a connecting ride in a Centurion.

Back at Crete I took the Titan out of the mechanical bay seeing as the technicians are happy to confirm VISTA has been subdued. Undocking I found hermano Jose who told be I had just missed Enrique. Apparantly Jose had escorted him from Omega 5. He also told me he'd brought a load of Luxury Food to Gamma and gave it to the Crete Pilots Bar (CPB) Association. I suppose that'll keep the Benitez welcome in there for a few years at least!

A message he left for me said that the Pirate Transport was working fine, although there had been a fuel blockage in Cambridge. That's sorted though.

Outside Crete there were a few other problems. There was a untagged Ravens Talon callsigned Alterego. TBH gunboat Tinky ordered him to leave, and he refused to obey, resulting in his destruction. Picture of offending craft:

I would advice caution around this vessel. He was spouting rubbish earlier (I suggested docking control should section him) and appears to maintain several ships on Gamma, seeing as he immediately undocked in another Ravens Talon.

After that I proceeded to follow Jose to do a recce on Newgate Prison and get away from Gamma's seething Comms channel, but was called away to Cadiz where my days flight ended.

PERSONAL LOG: 13/06/816

I got another ride back to Trafalgar today, and I can tell you, all this long range interstellar travel is getting me jet lagged. On my return to the Auxiliary cock-pit I found a Vermilion coded comms transcripts awaiting for me! Regular combat forces in warzone situations will receive a Vermillion class comms message on a average of once every five years!

I opened it to find a message from Carlos, regarding information about Outcast operatives on the base. The son of a Outcast senior Don was visiting the base and my opposite (main Trafalgar contact) in the Outcasts was acting as his temporary body guard. I had orders to take them out regardless of the costs.

Lourdes informed me they were hiding on the 15th floor in the main security chambers, which would make their demise tricky. To make a long story short, I had to use a IED which resulted in the decompression of parts of F15 and the death of a large number of junkers and both the targets. Suffice to say this got the remaining Outcast's attention as well as suitably annoying the Junkers. I doubt I'll be welcome on Trafalgar for several months. I beat a hasty retreat.

Upon undocking, my cover well and truly blown, I was tagged as Corsair and persued by a rapidly scrambled fighter fleet (pict recording to be supplied shortly.) I set a waypoint for Cambridge JH and from there to Omega 5. I'll be resting up on Cadiz for a day or two. I've also secured safe passage out of Trafalgar for Lourdes, and advised Enrique to stay away. My escape:

On the way out a stray missile damaged several of the weapons systems and put the hurt on one of my engines. I'll be heading for Leon for repairs shortly.

Leon may be a trip too far for the Axillary, it near enough collapsed when it hit the Cadiz atmosphere zone. It is truly shot and will need a complete overhaul. Cadiz technicians are advising it be written off seeing as the damage costs far outweigh the cost of the ship itself. It would be cheaper to build a new one.

Despite this I've ordered a Pirate Transport from Crete to tow the remains to Leon for repairs. It'll arrive shortly and I have a repair team prepped on Leon to start work immediately. I've already given them the blue prints to what I want them to do.

It will involve the requisition of various parts from the limits of our territories, but it should pay off. The powerplant is going to be replaced and toned up as well as new armour synthesizers added which will radically increase the shielding and survivability. The changes should be enough to reclassify it from a Legionnaire class vessel to a Decurion class vessel.

I predict the cost to be at around two million credits, of which I'll be paying out of my own funds. I've also wired Lourdes thirty million credits for her to pay to the Junkers as reparations for the damage. That should help to heal some wounds.

Well, I won't be in space for a while seeing as I want to oversee the reconstruction project personally. The Transport will be arriving shortly.

PERSONAL LOG: 22/06/816

Ai! Sorry amigos, I've fallen behind with my log recordings. I've been busy working on blueprints for a new project. The last few days have been hectic though. I'll summarize the events.

On the eighteenth, two days after my last log I got a call from the Leon Technicians working on the Auxiliary and from the Junkers of Trafalgar. The technicians told me she was complete. It looked the same as before, but that was a subtle deception, the armour has been made denser using complicated armour synthesizers and a new powerplant has been added. It was a completely new ship. The Junkers told me I could dock on Trafalgar again. Under armed guard. I guess the bribe worked.

The upgrades did in fact boost it to the standards required to have it changed in name from a Legionnaire class vessel to a Decurion. I immediately took it out to re-register it with Crete docking control. the only thing I noted with disappointment was that it's increased mass had dampened down it's turning capability. I reported to Crete, obtained identification papers and bunked down for the night in the Benitez estates. Later on I discovered that the rest of the familia had just won a crushing victory against the outcasts in Eta.

On the nineteenth I undocked from Crete to ominous silence. I prepared to return to Bretonia for live fire testing and asked if anyone else would like to accompany me on a long range patrol. There was for the most part stony silence and replies to the negative. I guess Bretonia is too scary for the majority of those Corsairs that would sit in Crete's orbit...

Despite the general atmosphere, I received a willing wingman in the form of the Corsair pilot Shogun. who for reasons unknown piloted an Eagle. We proceeded to Omega 41 when we started to think we were being followed. [OPG]Dauntless was keeping pace behind us, but we did not know whether he was simply relocating from Gamma to Omega 5. We exited the Omegas and entered Cambridge, heading for the Leeds JH, and then it was confirmed. [OPG]Dauntless was keeping a steady 9K behind us. I asked for Shogun's opinion on Dauntless and whether he was actively following us. We decided that he could be seen as a good thing or a bad thing. Fire support, or competition/a spy.

It was settled by opening a comms channel and asking him if he wanted to come. He responded in a affirmative, so I invited him to our Group comms frequency and asked why he hadn't just said! We proceeded to fly to the Leeds JH in Arrowhead formation:

/Picture taken by one of the Auxillary's photo droids/

We arrived at Trafalgar for resupply at which point the Junkers ran a scan of Shogun. and realised he had been marked as hostile. Consequently Trafalgar opened fire and he was forced to withdraw to a safe distance. He satisfied himself by terrorising the local Molly populous. At this point, to my bitter dissapointment a critical error message arreared on my analisis screens warning of engine failiure. I was forced to redock with Trafalgar and abondon my raid. I beleive Dauntless and Shogun. both proceeded to interdict some shipping. We could almost hear the traders squealing through the void.

I lay low for the next few days waiting for the pissy inefficient Junker engineers to finish on my engines. Boring as hell, especialy when you're under armed guard. They got the Auxillary finished for today, so I took her out for some mapping. I did a run along the Southampton Shipyard > New London trade lane, periodicly disrupting it as I went and menacing any traders that dropped out. I've heard Decurions look scary from the perspective of an escape pod! I proceeded towards the planet and when nearing it's security zone bugged out. I didn't want to be stumbling onto a battleship patrol.

I pulled out and headed for the Cumbria asteroid field and the Dublin JH. I had heard there was gold just waiting to be tractored in there and the though appealed to me. There was also the fact that the system was full of Mollies. Another plus point! There is no lost love between me and the Mollies. As I jumped through a unknown contact appeared on sensors. It was an Outcast Facalta callsigned {SOB}Dark_Assasin blundering around the field lost.

I ordered it to leave the area (heh, I didn't like the look of the torpedo's it was hauling. I'd rather it left of it's own accord then attack me) to which it's reply was homing in on the transmissions source. He promptly opened fire without a word. The fight flowed back and forth, with the fight able to go either way. At one point I managed to lower his shields and get his hull integrity down to around 45%. Soon we were both out of NanoTech and it was a fight to the death. Or not. I decided I didn't fancy a stay in my escape pod in sovereign Molly territory, so i set course for the Leeds JH and killed engines. Assasin did the same, so I about turned Disrupted him and continued on my merry, gliding way. Popping through the JH I had enough of a head start to engage Cruise engines and get out of range of his disruptor's. Here's the Nefarious foe himself!:

Needless to say he didn't catch me and I returned to Trafalgar. Now then. I best finish writing this and get some sleep.
Adios amigos.

Well, good news for today! I've mapped the whole of Bretonia to my neural nets hard drive! I have the location of just about every jump hole, base and asteroid field you could care to name. well, apart from the Newcastle system. It looked, big, empty and full of hostile contacts.

I finished off in Manchester, using the opportunity to vape some wandering Lane hackers, Bounty Hunters and Liberty corporations. I also took peak at the systems resident Jail-house. The mine-field and multiple weapons platforms looked unappealing so I kept my distance. It's amazing the familia have managed to break people out in the past!

Heading back from Manchester I took the scenic route, having a peak in Salisbury. The Bretonian Guard sent me scurrying away with my tail between my legs. Maybe next time... One certain pilot, James Naylor has been noted, and his days are numbered.

Back in Manchester I headed towards the Leeds jump hole and from there to New London and the relative safety of Trafalgar. Happy that Bretonia was mapped, I proceeded to return to Corsair territory. Upon jumping in to Omega 5 a hostile contact appeared on radar; Recon-U78.

I demanded identification to find we was a Freelancer that commanded a Explorer class Spatial, with a police IFF... He soon proved his worth however as a Hessain wing attacked Cadiz. There were few Centurions on guard to protect the station at the time, so I assume they were trying to catch us unawares. Recon was responsible for killing five I think, and I tagged the last one. I told him if he kept bloodying the Hessain forces like that he'd probably be welcome on Cadiz any time. He also said he was working on removing the police IFF and replacing it with a Corsair one. Somehow his transponder had switched itself without his knowing.

We teamed up so I continued to map the system, searching for Ronnenburg base. After following Hessian patrol paths and discovering serveral jump holes we found Ronnenburg. I asked Recon if he had any torpedoes, to which he replied in the affirmative. The Hessians seemed to be unaware of how close we were seeing as there were few patrols. We agreed we would attempt to cause the station some damage by taking out the fighters and launching torpedoes at the docking control module. The plan went perfect! He unleashed several Sunslayer torpedoes and laser salvos, crippling the module! recordings found here:

We may not have permanently crippled the base, but they'll have trouble with long range comms and docking coordination for a few days at least! After that there was a unusual amount of solar activity causing us all to have to rapidly dock. As a summery, I'd say that Recon's hate for the hessian's is useful, and his courage for initiating the bombing run was commendable. We went separate ways after that, me to finish mapping the Omegas and omicrons and he went to obtain some weapons, and presumably teach the police a lesson in Corsair brutality.

Until tomorrows log, I bid you all fairwell! Adios amigos!

PERSONAL LOG: 24/06/816

I'll keep this report snappy. I'm in open space on a exploration run. I've just launched out of the Fez, done a fly-by on Casablanca and discovered a few jump holes. One of the jump holes in question was Omega [forgotten number, I'll edit in later] where I discovered the wonders of Planet Gran Canaria. It's unbelievable I've never found it before! I mean the amount of Corsairs living there! I spent the afternoon in the space port bar acquainting myself with the locals.

After my pub-call was finished I spotted a jump hole to Dublin which astounded me. I hadn't found it when I'd mapped Dublin, and I'd gone over the place with a fine tooth comb!

Here's a shot of me on the way out:

/Picture taken by one of the Auxillary's photo droids/

I continued my mapping run after that, with a grand tally of Bretonia mapped as well as a healthy portion of the Omegas and omicrons. Mapping will continue tomorrow, but for now I'm heading back to the Fez.

This log may sound a little fractured. I'm in allot of pain, recording vocally and in one of the Pilot's Wards in some Crete hospital. Aaargh.. The day started peacefully.

I'd unocked from the Fez and continued to Leon to give my compliments the the Auxilariy's engineers. After that I proceeded to Omicron Delta to continue my mapping opperations. In Delta I met up with hermano Luis. During a standard blanket sweep, we found an Unknown jump hole. Cross-references will an Order database and rumours confirmed it to be Omicron Iota. *Loud racking coughs* Sorry. I'll have to stop for now...

+++Transmission closed+++

+++Transmission reopened+++

Ah, sorry, feeling much better now. Me an Luis jumped through to Iota, and our scanners started to pick up anomalies. I warned Luis to keep an eye out and to flee if we sighted any of these "Keepers". A brief exploration reveled a planet that had docking capability. Shocked, me and Luis went in for a closer look. Something planetside was blocking my scans, so I have no idea what was down there.

Shortly after that, the anomalies began to become more numerous, and a "Keeper" ship uncloaked 4K away. We put our ships into max reverse and engaged cruise engines. I retreated back to a safe distance, but the Keeper managed to disrupt Luis somehow. I flew back in an attempt to give help, but they were both gone. I flew in the direction I presumed both had gone in, and succeeding in attracting the attention of another Keeper. This bio-form appeared to be piloting a construct of gunboat size. After a loop around the planet nearest to the Delta jump hole in a vain attempt to shake the gunboat, I went after luis again.

As he appeared on scanners, I saw numerous Keeper ships engage him and a fiery ball envelope his ship. I did a fly-by to try and retrieve his pod, but was forced back by the ferocity of Keeper fire. I believe there was a Nomad Battleship present by this point. With no other choice, I fled to the delta jump hole, in an attempt to distract the nomads away from Luis' pod. Unable to engage cruise because of some sort of alien disruptor, I was forced to retreat back on thrusters. Above the first planet, they crippled my shields and dealt heavy damage to my hull. At this point, the nav-comms panel exploded rendering me unconscious. I don't remember anything after this, but I discovered the rest of he story by looking at the uncorrupted flight recordings.

At the time of my unconsciousness, the ship AI detected my incapacitated state and took control. maintaining evasive patterns it made it to the delta JH and proceeded to set course for Kappa. To my astonishment by the time the Auxiliary had jumped, there was a full five Keeper life forms. On the way back to Kappa, the Auxiliary passed a small fleet of TBH and OPG fighters, and while the AI made them aware of my incapacitated state, there is no recorded reply. The AI auto-set for Crete and summoned a medical team to the landing pad. Upon docking, it shut itself down and I was taken here.

The medics say I suffered minor head injuries and a strained leg. They hope to discharge me late this evening. I don't know what happened to Hermano Luis, and I plead for a wing to be dispatched to Iota to search for him, unless he has already been returned while I am in hospital. Today has been a terrible one, and I shall spend the rest of it recuperating. A final message, do not underestimate the alien threat hermanos.

Miserably

PERSONAL LOG: 26/06/816

Im writing flight log for last night, I didnt have the opportunity to finish it yesterday. As soon as I was discharged from medical, I checked to see what had happened to Luis after the Iota incident. He was in the same hospital as me after being returned by an Order patrol. I met with the patrol leader later who had told me they were horrified to see two Corsair fighters enter the most hostile area in Sirius without support. They made haste and jumped through after us, but by the time they arrived Luis had already been dispatched and I had been knocked unconscious. They did a fly-by on the wreckage field from Luis ship and plucked his pod out of the Aliens grasp. From there we was returned to Yaren and from there to Crete. The wing leader's name was Luke Naylor Brother of the Bretonain guard that caught my attention. I guess I owe it to him to leave the Bretonian alone.

Save this good news about Luis the rest of this log shall progressively get worse. It started by me leaving for Sigma 17 in the Auxiliary to map the system when I encountered a Cryer tagged Stinger named NightHawk. I was in a good mood so I passed him by without scanning him for identification, even saying Hola... He about turned and set to follow me. After a short while he asked if we could talk, so I cut my engines, at which point he attacked. Realising my Decurion was no match for his Stinger, I set course for the Theta jump hole and alerted various other member of the familia. The ambush was sprung in Theta, where NightHawk was engaged by Luis, meself and another Benitez that shall remain, ahem, anonymous. After a a while Luis alerted me that he had no NanoTech seeing as he had set off for Theta without time to reequip himself. His Pratorian was critically damaged and was forced to bug out to the nearby Freeport. Satisfied NightHawk also fell back to Sigma 17 and the remaining Benitez also gave chase. By this time we had gained the aid of hermano Chico as well.

Jumping back to 17 we gave pursuit which resulted in a fight which ended in a fight near Cryers Atika Research station. After a short while NightHawks engines began to malfunction throwing his ship into seeming impossible angles. His engine then suffered a critical error and he was forced to manually dock at Ataka, by the sound of things damaging the stations docking bay. ((He lagged out)) Satisfied we proceeded to head back to Theta when a Hunter bomber undocked from Kurile. We engaged and the hostile was destroyed. It was at this point the nightmare began

The OPG seeing our position followed us into Sigma 17 and their warmonger leader, Gentle began to slander Carlos and the Benitez familia. We responded for a while whilst the OPG ship Crucifix sat at the edge of our scanners. Eventually we realised our words would not be heard by fools, so I ordered our forces back to Gamma at double time. On the return to Gamma, Gentle continued to slander us, with OPG forces following slightly too close, close enough to set of proximity alerts in out cock-pits. I ordered all combat ready Benitez form a guard detail around Carlos daughter Alandra. Luis had had rudimentary repairs conducted on his bomber by Zoner engineers at this point, so he returned to help guard Alandra. Jumping back into the Malvada cloud, OPG forces were swarming. Luis was disrupted numerous times ((which according to the rules counts as an attack)) all the whilst Genital continued to slander our forces. I also had a torpedo launched at me by a OPG bomber. We engaged Cruise and headed for Crete, not willing to take part in Gentles blood madness.

Luis funaly managed to escape the OPG hounding him unharmed and cruised up to me in formation. At this point Gentle was follwing extremely close behind me. He then screamed that the Benitez were traitors and cut his engines and opened fire on my ship. My shields were dropped and my hull sent to 50% integrity before I realised I was under attack. The Traitor had fired on a Corsair I had heard the OPG had allied with Outcasts in the past, but I wasn't willing to believe it until then. We dodged the second salvo knowing that with cut engines the insane <strike>pirate</strike> tratior could not manoeuvre and continued to Crete. Outside Crete I pleaded for Alandra to dock and ordered all Benitez vessels to stand down. Luis had particularly taken offence to Gentles firing on me and had himself fired a single warning shot at him. A pict recording was sent to me later from hermano Chico who recorded the entire incident:

Once at Crete we all formed a defensive detail. I told them in no uncertain terms I would never fire upon another Corsair. After another 10 minuets of heated conversation in which the OPG continued to slander us TBH ships began to arrive. At the arrival of senior Yanez, I pleaded that he would bring some sanity to the situation! TBH didnt respond and didnt seem to be taking a side. One TBH pilot claimed to be eating popcorn At this point three hostile contacts appeared on radar. It was three Bounty Hunter gunships, and they had made a grave mistake Glad for a single common enemy I jumped at the chance to get away from Gentle. The gunships were destroyed by a combined force of three Benitez and a battlefleet sized force of TBH and OPG. After the Hunters demise, components started to fail all over the Auxiliary, possibly due to the damage Gentle had done earlier and I was forced to limp back to Crete. I do not know what happened after this but I pray it came to a peaceful solution.

//Now for a oorp comment on the evening festivities Not by the Benitez clan, but by me. Custo Benitez- Jammi- whichever you pick. Im guessing the OPG went to Sigma 17, JUST because they could see we were there so they could attack us! They insulted Carlos as a player and insulted me as a player. On the way back to Crete Gentle even ATTACKED me! I dont know what the hell the OPG are up to, but they need to examine their claims we are traitors a little closer. It would seem the traitors to the Corsair people are a little closer to the OPG camp Gentle, whatever you are trying to do stop.

All we tried to do was establish the Senate which would be a fair method of governing Gamma. It would give equal power to all the clans and the independents! You claim we were power mongering, but HOW can you be power mongering when you are trying to apply equality to a unbalanced situation? The OPG would have the same amount of votes as the Benitez, TBH and Independents for goodness sake! What is wrong with you people!

The only logical conclusion I can come to is you are trying to run the Benitez and its players off the server. I pity you for this. You are killing the game for others. And yeah, as a final note thanks. I spent extra time ingame trying to defend the great name of the Benitez against the smear campaign the OPG were throwing against us, and guess what? It got me banned from all electronic devices by my parents for two weeks I hope youre happy Damn you Gentle. Ingame flights and this flight log will be suspended for two weeks. After the two weeks Ill evaluate if I want to remain playing on the server.//
