A large frequency of updates was anticipated, and likely knowingly not being able to keep the navmap updated to the movements of battleships every time, it's very possible, and would be smart, to wait until the last few updates to finish off the Gallic war completely come before updating the map. All the relevant information, jumpholes, and bases inside houses remain accurate aside from the combat patches that are coming in rapid succession.
