You know we're actively going to fight for Edinburgh back right?

Edinburgh was our favourite child which was being held at gun point the entire war for some of us. We reeaally like that space box and those purple clouds we do.

Why not Valors?

Who took blueprints?

I think Council would be fairly convinced that their design is superior, because they obviously have prevailed in conflict. In addition counting that new government would most likely not invest much into militarization anymore. Mentality would be rather to demilitarize some Valors that they would possibly got and turn them into museums of a horrible previous regime or liners even.

Enclave would be rolling Valors and try get as many, keeping the old days fashion.

That's as far as ideology is concerned.

Nah, from a strategic point of view, the Council will not destroy or disarm battleships. The pretext in the style of a "museum for war" does not roll.

What is the superiority of Council technologies based on obsolete Gallic ships? Here just the same Royalist ships are better in technical terms.

Although I could be wrong.

From strategic point of view they would want to get the economy rolling, trade with other houses, now those opportunities are much wider. There's no major war ongoing for Council/new government anymore and they have fairly sufficient number of capital ships of their own design.

And I was talking about Council's point of view, not technical side of superiority and whatnot.

I don't see Napoleon in this French revolution yet.

I would be convinced our design is superior if the Redemption would get a clean texture job instead of the rusty-blasty one we have currently. You are correct about investing into the economy more, but since the Enclave is still a threat I don't think demilitarisation is a priority, if an option at all. As far as ideology is concerned, while the Republic might not want to start a war, they aren't eager to remain defenseless either.
