well I think guard ID's are being added to the next mod version.

So... the bounty hunter ID could be restricted to fighters/bombers, while the guard ID allows fighters, bombers, gunboats, cruisers, and battleships.

It'd be nice if the same was done for all the other major factions. Restrict the standard ID to fighters/bombers only, and make the guard ID (only attainable with green guard rep) allow the capships.

That would solve some of the issue, as most of these noobs flying capships dont want to put in the extra work for it. I dont have my guard ID for aki kimura yet either, but it wouldnt take me more than a week of mission grinding to get it either.

If Kuraines ID proposals go through then that's exactly what will happen Tenacity, as well as Jameson's ideas for BHG caps. However will people stop banging on about the BHG factions regulating their caps, there's only a couple of official BHG factions ones the SSO, and I ain't seen them on in a while, who do not proclaim to have any right to limit BHG caps. The DW also don't proclaim any rights to limit the BHg caps as they don't represent the entire BHG.

Hey look; more bashing of Bounty Hunters. Chalk today's one down.

The i.d.is up for change next version. It's in a thread elsewhere.

I just checked the server status; there are two BC's on; two Orcas; one gunship. Out of 135 players. This is starting to sound like a witch hunt. Have you read the previous posts in the thread about this?

Honestly, have you folks nothing more constructive to add to this tired debate? How about joining a BH faction and showing people how it's done.

The sigma 13 - Chugoku jumphole should not be closed down. The New Berlin - Sigma 13 jumphole should be, however. This will also make more people travel through the Frankfurt system.

As for the IDs, I have proposed three bounty hunter IDs:

Bounty Hunter standard changes
allows fighters and freighters, can go anywhere. Disallows transports.

Bounty Hunter Guard: (requires maxed out Guard reputation to buy)
Allows up to gunboats, disallows transports. Can go anywhere.

Bounty Hunter Guild Core ID: (requires maxed out Guard reputation to buy)
Allows all ships (except transports), is restricted to the Omicron and Omega systems only.

All other Guard IDs allow caps, standard IDs don't, and you must have maxed out appropriate Guard reputation to obtain the Guard ID (which will all be located within Guard systems)

As for bombers, hell yes they need to have their turning nerfed, and I think all fighters and bombers need to have their bots/bats reduced by at least a third, to balance things out a bit more. But that's probably just wishful thing *shrugs*

@Kuraine: i ll hate you for that, when it comes into effect.:laugh:- not cause i m against that rule - but cause i ll have to travel back to omega-74 with the persephone to get my "zoner guard ID" - - no joy to fly from delta to theta in a juggernaut ( and back again )

you ll have a really grumpy zoner for quite some time around then.

well my only current capship character (aki Kimura) just got her order guard rep maxxed... trying to change the tag is going to be a pain in the rear though.

i daresay a lot of people will fly "illegally" for quite some time then - glad i got the only capship i have sorted out at max guard rep already - but if its really like destroyer upwards to be a required maxed out guard rep, a lot of zoners will be very very unhappy. ( or go on a killing spree )

wonder how long it ll take the playerfactions to faction up the guard rep. - however, i guess ... IF it comes into effect, we ll be given 3 months or so to rep up. ( like we were given 3 months to safe up cash to buy the BB license )

really a lot of gunboat captains will have a happy rep-up time. - and mercs will have to choose wisely if they fly a gunboat. - anyway - think its possible to change the "seen" tag aswell - i mean... so it displays GUARD and not only the normal faction ( in red ) ?

Yea, they need to change the guard reps to show their tag properly.

Normal order tagged players should just show up as "Order - Name" whereas guard tagged players would show up as "Order Guard - Name"

Anyways... you can go from nuetral guard rep to full guard rep in only a couple hours of missions. A lot of outcast independents I know already have full guard rep, because people are grouped up and running missions in alpha -constantly-.

other purpose, make lower the empathy for guard/non-guard (expect zoners maybe) and/or start with a lower rep (more its red, more we love it:)).

now why ?

Every one who pay a bribe to a faction is not anymore hostile to the guard faction. Starting with lower rep or lower the impact on the guards will solve it a little.

and why except zoners ?

cause i've never seen any zoner mission and the bribes are the only way for the zoner guard rep:D
