I'm playing the Single Player version of Discovery, and everything seems to work fine except that when I relaunch the Launcher to play again, the save files (AutoSave.fl & Save##cf.fl) disappear from the Accts > SinglePlayer directory, so functionally, I can't make any lasting progress in the game.
Any ideas as to why this is happening?
For the time being, I will make copies of these files and store them in a sub-directory for later retrieval.
@Bannon: An intended feature? Intended for what? In any case, it isn't working. I can copy my latest save files back to the directory, but the game still doesn't recognize there presence. Bummer.
@Neputo: Could you please elaborate on what the SNAC is? Is that a config file or part of a script, or what? Where do I find it?
It's intentional because the autosave file will prevent freelancer from launching if it's from a different version. Like if you played crossfire you wouldn't be able to launch disco without deleting the file. This was added relatively recently to prevent issues like that

You will have to manually move your saves every time
I tried that. Once I have restarted the game, and I'm at the Main Menu, I Alt+Tab to desktop, move the save files back into the directory, then go back to the Main Menu, and click on the Load option, but it doesn't recognize the presence of the files I've just moved there.

This has always puzzled me, exactly why is it an intended feature? Is there some sort of potential bug or corruption that can occur if saves are left intact?

Freelancer CTDs while loading, there's no other way around it
