Unpopular opinion here, but UV Mapping is actually fun

I like tile texturing, not a fan of UV mapping. On that note, can I pay you to finish unwrapping the jump gate for me or would you rather gouge your eyeballs out with a rusty spoon?

On topic - personally very impressed with this model, particularly the excellent smoothgroups which most people seem to inexplicably struggle with. Simple, elegant, and clean mesh. Does what it needs to do.

I'll be texturing this model in exchange for @Lucas handling the hitboxing and hardpointing of the new GC VHF.

Nice! two birds with one stone.

And just for fun, when i have the chance I would low key be interested in checking out UVs for that Jump Gate kek.
but you'd honestly have a better time using the current mesh as a High Poly to bake some of that detail onto.

As a side note I need to learn the Tile Texturing for this when i find some time free away from Uni Work

Okay you were right I've mistook https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texture_mapping for https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/UV_mapping

I am not making ships for FL anymore, I am making my own space game instead:

Your not too far off none the less, they're somewhat synonymous with one another, if anything UV mapping is usually the more difficult or tedious depending on how you've made the model (god forbid if you boolean something.)

Though it doesn't apply so much here. I suppose to the delight of some. Regardless i still UV Map my stuff for here out of habit, i could Snapshot texture maybe, might be interesting to try sometime if someone throws me texture sets my way at some point
