After the ejection of the figurehead of the Galileo Zoners, Elroy Carpenter was mildly put out. Thankfully, he had Plan B. In fact, he was going to drop his Plan B a line right now.

Gunsmith hadn't called in yet. Perhaps Willow knew this would happen and arranged for him to be saved embarrassment. Either way, the show would have to go on somehow.

Elroy stopped and reflected, before subconsciously nudging his timepiece. Those in the upper echelons of the League of Navigators were obsessed with keeping time, and adherence to strict timetables, and sometimes this felt like they were a cut above the normal man, with his tardiness and indolence. Elroy knew this to be nonsense, of course, they'd be superior if only because they had this shiny biological powered armor.

Ah, Carapace. The ultimate status symbol. Due to the rarity, only the most elite of Leaguesmen would even have access to this, restricting its usage to Brick Quartermasters, espatier detachment commanders, and senior bureaucrats such as himself. Being able to survive that which should logically make him cease to exist would be proof of his superiority, although he felt he had yet to truly earn such distinction. No matter.

He then sat at his desk and waited. Perhaps this new crop of people he was calling in could accomplish what Leon Dante and friends apparently could not.

His plans grew apace. But now it was time for a new project to be undertaken.

The central core of the new Freeport had been deployed mere minutes ago, and the League engineers were working overtime. Overtime that was coming out of his cut of the first month's returns, no doubt.

Willow had considerately lent him a quick-grown hyperspace-savant, which allowed him to drop in right on top of Gunsmith and friends. Now, maybe, he could talk her into his scheme.
