So the new Bustard model, right? I took it for a spin, and have come to the conclusion that it sorely needs a buff to be anything like the "BC survivability mini-Dreadnought" the old Bustard was.

It's a fairly simple fix, just make every turret hardpoint able to mount a GB Heavy, or give the 9th turret the ability to mount a BS Heavy, or something to balance out its loss of being a surprisingly fun to use dreadnought.

(Or give people the opportunity to do like /bustardclassic)

its not meant to be a civilian micro-battlecruiser its mean to be a jumpdrive platform

if you want to fly caps pick one of the like 1-2 dozen factions that have caps

It's not a "cap", I just want it to have similar performance to the model it replaced, in terms of pvp.

The current model may be an upgrade aesthetically, but it's a downgrade in terms of performance. Every Bustard owner I've talked to seems to confirm this.

And that's why it needs Heavies, to make up for its horrific arcs. Just because it's meant to be a jumpdrive platform doesn't mean it can't make an attempt at fulfilling other functions. It's not going to do them very efficiently, but it can try.

(also, Trinity on the flak hardpoint is hilarious to use)

if it is indeed a jump driving platform, it would be nice to see +200 to its cargo hold
to fit all assorty of modular devices.
and to have visible advantage over other dreadnoughts

Bustard is a glorified liner with increased powercore so it can use jump drive, not meant for pvp
the turrets are more decoration than for actual usage
there are a number of factions with pvp viable ships to choose from.

Although I would also love to see it as a "mini-battleship" people are very loathsome on the ship and does not want to see it being able to combat anything at all. At this point you can remove guns from it though.

I'm "Bastard" user and I'm okay with what it's now. I personally don't really care about its... Ehm... Fighting qualities. Yah, it would be nice if all guns could shoot forward, but it isn't very necessary, you know – would be nothing more than just a "pleasant makeweight".

Tbh I'm not bothered by its lack of damage too
What's most important is a 10class battleship slot to install FLAK for defense from Novas and Snacs
and Any damage at all possible to make, to disrupt trade lanes in case of need.
that's the only thing important for me from bustard guns. Perhaps to chase off one gunboat... if it's possible.
Slightly nice would be to see two 10class slots, as 2 FLAKs would be better, but one already existing gun is not bad too.
and I could probably even install CodeGun FLAK if its worthy
